I am not really sure if this car has EGR system. If it does, try to bypass (if possible) the coolant hose going in and out of the EGR cooler. So that the coolant is not anymore passing thru the EGR cooler. This will eliminate the possibility of leak in the coolant line inside the EGR cooler.

I'm facing the same issue with our Sentra right now.

    Here's what.

Assuming you can't see any leaks, you may want to check any fitting used by sensor probes.

Granted that is secured, your cylinder head might be the next point to check, especially if you've overheated previously.

    an added observation.
    hard starting during cold mornings.

i am assuming its the thermostat. possible kaya ito? loss of coolant and hard starting?

i dont know if same ba sa diesel and sa gas. pero sa diesel ko dati, nagbabawas ng tubig, then nag hard starting, then came the thick white smoke. loose cylinder head bolt and culprit.

nagbubulwak ba yung tubig from the rad?

OT: According to my source, pwede ng hindi lagyan ng thermostat yung mga auto dito sa Pilipinas. Is it true?
Please advise.

Puwede na busted na thermostat kaya nagbabawas ka tubig kasi nag-eevaporate na lang siya from the reservoir galing sa radiator. Hindi na nagcicirculate ang coolant/water eh.

Update: Couldnt find any leaks and it turns out the radiator cap was warped. Got an OEM Nissan cap from Yen.

Did you change water pumps already? On our Sentra, Corolla and Space Wagon before, we busted the water pump and it would drip water only when the engine was running.

You need the thermostat. It regulates coolant flow and allows your engine to maintain the optimal operating temperature.
