Everything was checked from the water pump, to the thermostat to the radiator fans so the cause of overheat was determined to be na nasa radiator nga.

So far, nawala ang overheating concerns. Kaya lang napapasin ko na yung radiator losses significant amount of coolant wherein kailangan ko mag top up ng around 1/4 liter every week.

Tried looking for leaks, wala naman.

Ano kaya reason neto? Is this normal? I don't think so dahil dun sa luma kong radiator and dun sa other cars ko, i seldom top up. Saan napupunta yung coolant?

Check the connections of the rad hoses, probably nung binalik eh hindi na maganda yung pagka fit.
Or there's a pinhole leak in the new radiator, ask someone to rev and look at the radiator and its hoses

Di tumataas yung level sa reservoir?

Try checking your bypass hoses also to see if there are any leaks that might be hitting hot parts of the engine (thus evaporating the coolant). Magpa-compression test ka rin to remove any possibility of engine problems.

On my old Lancer the culprit was the hose that bypasses the engine block to cabin heater route. This is usually located between the engine and the firewall so a pinhole there is kinda hard to see. Buti na lang puro kalawang radiator ko non kaya the rust trail led me to it

Check the hoses going to the TB also.

sorry 1D4LV, i don't want to hi jack your thread, may question lang kay sir JohnM

pwede nga sa hose.... have not checked this properly.
particlex's opinion could also be a possibility.

nilagyan ba sir ng silicone gasket maker yung hose nung binalik nila or plain hose and clip lang?

That's good. At least eliminated yung cracked cylinder head block (minsan kasi matagal mag manifest ang oil/water mixing). Thus, mukhang hoses yung titignan mo pards.

I'm facing the same issue with our Sentra right now. Sa Saturday ko pa matitignan.

I am not really sure if this car has EGR system. If it does, try to bypass (if possible) the coolant hose going in and out of the EGR cooler. So that the coolant is not anymore passing thru the EGR cooler. This will eliminate the possibility of leak in the coolant line inside the EGR cooler.

    Here's what.

Assuming you can't see any leaks, you may want to check any fitting used by sensor probes.

Granted that is secured, your cylinder head might be the next point to check, especially if you've overheated previously.

    an added observation.
    hard starting during cold mornings.

i am assuming its the thermostat. possible kaya ito? loss of coolant and hard starting?

Kung hindi na overheat and it's just losing water, no need to change the Thermoswitch (coolant sensor). Trigger point lang ito ng aux fan to turn on and off.

From what had been said na mabilis uminit makina and hirap sa cold start, try starting the car with the radiator cap off, kung maging fountain, head na. Kung hindi naman try to idle it for about 10 to 15 mins also with the radiator cap off, kung may mga bubbles let it flow lang pero kung nonstop, may singaw na makina. Top overhaul na kasi baka nabengkong head yung overheat.

Hmmm... recheck all the work items done before (retorque the bolts and hose clamps)? What color is your coolant? Na-lifter na yung car so you could inspect from underneath?

Or hanap din ng white marks or water marks sa connecting areas and radiator. Kung medyo madumi engine bay, engine wash muna then observe.
