some ways, it helps. pag talagang madumi na o seldomly flushed yung radiator. yung radiator kasi accumulates rust and dirt, which hardens up over time. these flushing chemicals might help in dissolving those accumulated dirt. although using flushing chemicals is not better than doing a complete radiator cleanup which some shops does.

Radiator flushing is good as long as di pa luma yung makina.

    just my two!

i think kaya dapat i flush ang radiator ay para malinis ang passage ng water sa block ng makina for better cooling ng makina para di mag overheat di ko lang alam kung every ilang years before you do it

After cleaning your radiator, put a coolant with rust inhibitor specially when you use ordinary tap water in your radiator. For best results, use distilled water to prevent mineral(the same mineral deposits you see inside your kettle) build up in your radiator. HTH

Para sa bagong linis na radiator(through flushing or overhaul), it would be better to start right by using distilled water. Less problems pa in the future in terms of maintenance kasi naiiwasan ang pagbabara ng radiator. If a person finds it more convenient to use tap water, I suggest he puts a coolant that contains rust inhibitors to prevent clogging(rust and minerals) and have a better cooling system at the same time.

Tama si Chieffy... P40 lang 5 gallons ng distilled and you use less than 2 gallons for a typical radiator... kahit anong kanto ngayon may distilled water refilling or a sari-sari that sells it... it's no excuse of using tap water anymore...

yes, distilled water yung nilalagay sa batteries. Iba iba rin kasi ang nga bottled waters, yung Absolute is distilled, yung iba naman e mineral water at yung nabibili sa water refilling stores e purified. So kung distilled ang kailangan, just check the bottle na distilled nga ito.

so yung absolute e pwede ring battery fluid?. mahal nga lang.. eheheh...

so ano ba dapat talaga process?. use a flushing solution?. o just drain it.. run a hose on top, wait until the water coming out at the bottom starts to become clean, then close the plug, fill it with coolant/water (distilled) mixture then go??

so far yan ang ginagawa ko. drain, use hose, then plug, then fill with tap water lang... walgn coolant...

Ako din due na yata for flushing.

What i'll do is to drain the water from the radiator and put a hose with running water while engine is running. Tapos kapag malinis na i'll put a 50/50 mixture ng distilled water and coolant sa reservior tapos i'll put it in the radiator then fill the remaining with water.

Tama ba ang gagawin ko? :D

Bakit kailangan na umandar ang makina while flushing the radiator?
