However I have mine inspected first before cleaning. At the place I go to, my A/C mechanic mentioned that as long as the A/C still blows strong and cools well, cleaning can be skipped.
I guess having a DIY 3M Filtrete A/C filter helps extend my cleaning intervals too. My mechanic also pointed out that the filter material helps guard against dust accumulation in the evaporator - although it does come at some detriment to overall blower power (the filter weakens the blower output).
i need help on this. My Civic 99 needs to be cleaned regularly.. like after less than 6 months, it becomes very dirty to the point na mahina na ang AC. i tried different AC shops, all where saying the same.. just a dirty evap and no leaks. im starting to think na baka its time to replace major parts na baka may leaks na or damage. What you think guys, do i need a new evap? (or what else).. thanks!
everytime nakikita ko sa daan kasi mga A/C cleaning services or nagpapaPMS ako, i feel guilty for not having my car(08 Sentra) serviced since acquiring it 4 years ago. natrauma na rin ako sa mga past 1st Gen CRV, 89 B12 Sentra namen, na nananahimik yung A/C, pinalinis namen, and they never stopped having problems for the rest of their lives!
Pag nawala na lang lamig, saka ko na lang pagalaw. hopefully mga 10-15 years from now like one of the posters' rides! hehe.
