April 16th, 2016 06:04 PM #1I have a corolla 1997 gli which has 2 cooling fans one behind the radiator the other one located in front of radiator which runs with the compressor. Would like to ask how come it does not run consistently the one located in front? Is this normal? Does it only run if engine/radiator is hot? Every time i start he engine and aircon i noticed it does not spin immediately

the fan in front is a push fan and is mainly used to push air flow across the condenser,
the fan behind is a pull fan and is mainly used to pull air across the radiator,
engine cool, a/c off-----------------------both fans off
engine warm, a/c off---------------------radiator fan on, condenser fan off
engine cool, a/c on-----------------------both fans run at half speed
engine warm, a/c on---------------------both fans run full speed

April 17th, 2016 01:25 AM #4Ganyan talaga design nung mga fan, pag cool pa ang engine di talaga gagana ung fan sa radiator, pinaka the best kc mag warm up muna engine bago gamitin para mag fit ng maganda ung piston ring sa liner. Ung iba ginagawa naka rekta ung fan, kaya pag naka on ung ignition aandar na ung fan kahit cool pa ang engine, matagal mag warm up ung engine pag naka rekta ang fan

April 20th, 2016 03:05 PM #5Good day po!
It is repairable. But as oj88 mentioned, it is messy (when repaired) and best used as a last resort.
