For a few minutes or hours lang of travel titipirin pa natin? My take on this are: kung nabilad? few minutes at no. 2 fan then return it to no. 1 na with thermostat set to desired coolness (1/2 to ¾ max) and kung galing sa garahe, night time or walang araw naman no. 1 fan lang.

Kasi the lower the fan speed the lesser it sucks air (dust and dirt) that passes thru our evaporator so tipid rin sa cleaning

my maximum setting during summer is that the termostat is in 1/2, blowr is at 3, pag may sakay. pag ako lang mag-isa, lower is at #2 initially, tapos binababaan ko to #1.

pag cold months, my thermo is at 10 o'clock, fan is #1. minsan pag sobrang lamig, pinapatay ko na.

i find these settings most efficient for me. of course, depende yan sa condition ng aircon mo.

    * mr. aga.... i dont know if u find what ur suggesting for ur van is cool...

but my perception is they ...L...A...M...E i think vehicles that has pics/posters on windows are... trucks... company vans... PUJ so i suggest no no for this...

about the black sticker with holes would be best low budget but is good...

curtains??? hhhmmm maybe if u drive a hiace van from subic or delica some actually have em' but if ur driving a decent van tint would be the best.... 3M -sakto lang sa budget- yung solar guard and v-guard are very expensive >.<

pero if the climate outside is cold, kahit walang aircon, ok na ko

Huwag nga mag-curtains. Lalo na kung station wagon pa ang lalagyan ng curtains! :hysterical:

Baka isipin ng mga tao, ito ang passenger mo:

to all. thanks sa lahat ng posts niyo. helped me realize a thing or two. A/C is there for comfort, so if i want a comfortable ride, kelangan ko i-compromise fuel ko. so far, nag aadjust ako ng A/C setting depende sa situation, ex: morning, noon, galing sa bilad, sa parking, evening, etc. havent tried full thermostat nor full fan speed. after your posts, am between 1/4 ~ 1/2 ng thermostat, and between 1~2 na fan speed. sa experience ko big help din na OK tint mo, right now 3M light black ako sa front then 3M medium black sa sides/rear.

    * sir aga. go for the tint, either 3M or Solargard, i think any of the two works best sa present needs mo.

Hello everyone! I'd just like to share my opinion on this. I do agree with using window tint. It acts like an insulator keeping the heat out and the cool air in.
Now if you're looking to save on fuel while keeping the a/c on, you can try cycling the a/c at key points:

    - Turn a/c off during hillclimbs and when you're accelerating
    - 1/2 temperature setting on flat and straight highways
    - Maximum temperature setting going downhill

Which A/C setting can help save fuel?
