hello, mga tsikoteers, nabaha rin ang car ko na honda crv, my problem with my a/c is pag naka on ang ignition switch, kusa itong umaandar, even naka off ang controls ng a/c. Tumawag na ako sa Honda service center pero they have to schedule it next month pa, sa dami daw ng nagpapagawa sa kanila. Any insights on what is the problem??? thank you![]()
I'm new here sa tsikot..im drivin a 96 bighorn, obviously subic..im having aircon problems, typical aircon problems ng subic na suv, mahina ung buga..parang blower ever since i was driving it..daming nagsusuggest to install an overhead aircon, or palitan ung evaporator, worst case benta ko ndaw..gift kc ng erpat ko to kaya di ko mabenta ska ok cia, saved my life nung Ondoy, car ko lng nakatawid sa balintawak nun vs pick ups and other SUV's..and overhead ac or evaporator, aabutin daw ako ng 30-40k..WTF?! baka po may alam kaung mas murang solution..reasonably priced option po sana....marami pong salamat..
My problem is exactly the same as jacky honta and my ford ranger was also submerged in flood water. I already cleaned out all of the aircon parts and the mechanical side of the aircon system is already working fine. However, it is the electrical side of the system that is at fault. When I turn on the ignition the coil side of the compressor relay has a reading of 12 volts so therefore the relay will be switched on and the magnetic clutch of the compressor will be engaged and activate the compressor. This incident happens even though the thermostat switch, A/C switch, Fan switch and A/C motor are all disconnected.
I know that the easiest solution is to rewire it but I also want to know what cause the problem in the first place because it might affect other system in the car

try to check also the a/c power control module, I think there is something grounded. On the compressor relay, there is permanent positive and the signal is negative supply that coming from the a/c power control module.

kakapagawa ko palang ng ac ke mang mario. pailt ng evap and convert kasi japan siya. 900 lang singil lahat na. lamig-lamig na ng AC ko now.![]()

I'm also using converted bighorn, ganyan din po problem ko dati nung una ko nakuha ung unit, the problem is tinitipid po ng supplier ang pag convert sa aircon natin kaya mdyo poor quality ung bang tipo na umandar lang ok na. Try to check the following, expansion valve, comprossor and kind of Freon that is use in your unit. eto po kasi mga inayos nung mekaniko ko after nun satisfy na ko sa AC ko, kahit ndi na pa install ng ceeling evaporator ok na ung lamig abot na sya sa 2nd row.
damn!..finally..valenzuela ako dude..tlaga, how much ngastos mo?..sana naman not more than 10k..baka by next week try kong ipaaus lahat, may leak rin kc ung aircon ko, pumapasok sa loob..typical problems talaga ng converted, good running condition pero ung A/C displaced badly, di ko p nga npcheck kung ok ung ibang wirings. thanks for the reply man. i appreciate it. u still using ur car? anu pb ieexpect kong prob?
One side of the relay coil is connected in series with the thermostat, a/c switch, and fan motor speed control switch. The common terminal of the fan motor switch is grounded and there is a + 12v ignition switched connection going to the fan motor, the thermostat and the a/c switch which all seems fine. However, I traced the other side of the relay coil going to a small black box labeled WL81 located under the glove box compartment of my 2002 2.9L XL ranger. I don't know what exactly this box is for but it contains a small printed circuit board about the size of a cigarette pack. Is this an engine control unit and could this be the source of my problem. Could anyone tell me what this black box is?
Is there a reputable auto a/c electrical shop that could readily analyze my problem and not do guesswork on my a/c problem.
