Odellski, 3M HP5 Charcoal. Sa windshield ko HP20 yung color.

5% visible light lang nag-pass through. Definitely darker than the 'super black' panther series dati.

Also, improved ang heat resistance. Metallic tint kasi ito parang Magic Tint kaya lang kulay Black. Yung Panther kasi pati yung isang line ng charcoal (i think SP5, SP20 etc) dyed polyester lang (in short colored plastic). Another difference over dyed polyester tints is that, being metallic, it reflects light more. Effect = mas hindi ka kita sa loob :evillaugh

I'm not sure how these compare to other brands though pero im very very satisfied with these. Ang dilim talaga for a 1 layer tint and di mainit sa balat.

Pinaulit ko yung rear windshield kasi ginawang 2-piece! Newbie kasi bumanat nung likod.

Yung isang 3rd row glass pinaulit ko kasi maraming alikabok. parang bubbles kaso may laman na dust. gaspang! Yung newbie din bumanat.

Yung passenger window, sila nag ulit kasi hindi nila nakuha yung part sa may rear view mirror, may 'siwang' (pumapasok yung sunlight; gap)

Yung driver side, ganun din hehe. may defect kasi yng bintana ko since my repaint. The good thing is yung pinaka-expert nilang tinter yung gumawa. Same guy who did my front windshield.

He had to compensate for the defect. Ang galing. Almost full coverage yung window.

Pero come to think of it, sana lahat ng installer ganito bumanat. Halos wala yung 'tintless edge' na nakikita natin pag nakababa yung window.

pk, yong type ng tint mo, hindi ba mahirap mag drive pagka gabi o di kaya umuulan? I wanted something darker din sana sa Sorento ko kaya lang ayaw ng wife ko kasi nahihirapan daw mag drive sa gabi. Saka saan ang location ng Winterpine?

jeanpierre, It certainly gets a bit getting used to especially if youre coming from a clear glass windshield.

Pero having HP5 (5%) sa sides and HP20 (20% visible light transmission) sa front actually creates major contrast so ang effect is parang clear glass yung windshield. In any case you can select HP30 naman (or HP40... i forget ) so mas maliwanag.

By the way, i'll move tint related posts to the tint thread so post away lang...

sobra siguro hirap kung HP5 sa harap.

Hirap nga ako umatras sa gabi lalo na pag dimly lit yung paligid hehe.

hindi ka kita pero alam nung nasa labas na may tao. aninag lang. Pero kung full sunlight i think totally hindi kita because of glare. pag madilim tapos flourescent lights you can barely make out the steering wheel

jayeina:: Im using Mirareed super black on the sides and Mirareed Light smoke in front. Mahirap ang peripheral vision at night but frontal vision is a-OK since parang walang tint sa harap.

pajerokid, may i humbly join the discussion and ask what's special about mirareed? its been mentioned a number of times in some of the tint threads, and seem to come recommended. am new in this forum, and i just registered today. and already, i have found many, many discussions very informative. thank you in advance.
