how long does it take to install the tint (all around)?

Had my tints installed on my 09 jazz last wednesday sa chevy dagupan, ang available shades were c70, c30, c15, c05. Nag c70 ako windshield, c30 the rest. Grabe ang clear ng c30, kita loob. C70 naman, parang walang tint.

Nag start ng 11am, natapos ng 4pm. Medyo natagalan kasi removed the old tint, nilinisan ng glue residue ang mga glass.

So far maganda heat rejection. Comparable sa super black 3M, but without the dark shade. Kahit yung windshield, warm to the touch, d tulad dati na naka 3M medium black, kapag tanghaling tapat, ramdam mo sa face mo yung init.

Kudos to Ma'am Grace and Tony of chevy dagupan, grabe asikaso, kala mo new car buyer. tint installation lang pala.
Kahit si sir Leo David maasikaso rin, sent his best tinter all the way from pampanga! Tumawag din sya kay Tony, nangungumusta sa installation ng tint ko.

Have you installed Huper Optik Tint in the tempered glass panel of a store? Tumatagos kasi ung init outside lalo na tirik ung araw and the blocking of heat capability of Huper Optik will greatly help improve cooling inside store premises.

yung tints sir may greenish hue. C30 mas clear as compared sa 3M medium black, if i have to do it all over again, baka ganyan ang papainstall ko.

Inquire lang ako tungkol dito sa tint nyo. Since yung iba nagkakaproblema sa pag-install dahil sa paggamit ng heat gun eh pwede bang huwag na gumamit ng heat gun para maging 100% worry free talaga? Tsaka anong shade ba yung may highest heat rejection?

Actually po, kung pupwede lang di na iheat gun yung film why not di ba? kaso kase yung surface ng glass panels po naten mejo concave po sya kaya talaga need po nateng iheatgun kundi po, hindi sya lalapat at magkaka bubbles syang malaki.. kung mapapansin nyo po, sa mga side panels nyo po hindi na hiniheatgun kase mejo flat po sila..

BTW, highest heat rejection po is Ceramic 15.

Yes po.. usually ganun po sila talaga pero sa Huper Optik, yung Ceramic 15 po yung me pinakamataas na heat rejection.

Ceramic 05 kase 92% lang unlike Ceramic 15 96% po sya..

RESULTS

The maximum temperatures attained are given in Table 4, while Appendix 1 shows the temperature curves over time for the front and the rear of the car respectively.



ANALYSIS

The results clearly show that the temperatures for the Hüper Optik film combination kept the car coolest when compared to no film applied and to dyed films.

FILM VS NO FILM

The Hüper Optik’s C70+C15 combination kept the front and rear of the car 12.7°C and 7.9°C cooler respectively than the car without any film. This is a very significant result as it shows that even after 120 minutes of exposure to the halogen light source, the Hüper Optik films still maintained a significantly lower temperature, about 22% and 15% cooler for the front and rear respectively compared to the control situation where no film was installed. While the 3X films also kept the car cooler than a car without film, the extent of the heat rejecting effect was less than the single-layer Hüper Optik films. 3X films only resulted in a temperature drop of 7.8°C and 2.8°C for the front and rear of the car respectively. This infers that in an actual situation where a car is parked under the sun for a long time, it is important to install films that can keep the car interior cool so that the driver will not feel major thermal discomfort when he enters the car. The air-conditioning also takes a shorter time to cool down when it is switched on after a prolonged period of exposure to the sun.

TINT FAQ's

Q: What is VLT?
A: VLT is Visible Light Transmission. VLT is the amount of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass. The darker the tint, the lower the visible light transmitted.

Q: What is Ultraviolet Rejection?
A: Ultraviolet Rejection is the percentage of ultraviolet energy deflected away from the window film. Ultraviolet rays can cause upholstery and furnishings to fade. It can also cause skin damage and skin cancer.

Q: What is TSER?
A: Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER) is the percentage of the total solar energy that is rejected. TSER includes visible light, infrared radiation and ultraviolet energy. The higher the percentage, the higher the percentage of solar energy deflected. Most tinting shops use Infra Red Rejection (IRR) as a guide to the level of heat rejection. However, IRR only covers a fraction of TSER. Internationally, TSER is used as a guide as it is a more accurate way of measuring heat rejection.

Q: Which films perform better metallic or non-metallic?
A: Generally the majority of metallic films still perform better as far as keeping out heat than non-metallic films however there are now a small and much more expensive range of ceramic constructed films which have extremely high Infra Red (IR) performance of up and over 80%.

Q: I want the darkest legal film, which do I choose?
A: In most cases a non-metallic film will give a “blacker” look in a pure sense; however the compromise from a pure black style metallic film is lower heat performance. Low shine hybrid/ metallic films will give you that black low sheen look while maintaining the high performance.

Q: I am trying to stop heat and glare what is the best film?
A: A metallic film will do the best from a heat perspective and a darker the film will again stop the most heat and glare.

Q: I want the best heat and glare performance however don’t want the “mirror” external appearance?
A: It has always generally been a compromise of having the best performance meaning more metal content and avoiding the “mirror” look which is a direct result of adding more metal. The compromise is a hybrid metal/dyed film having less metal content and more color which dulls the mirror look and “back reflection” problems which arise when lights hit a highly reflective finish.

Q: I want high heat performance however I don't want to stop light entering through the glass?
A: Traditionally this has been almost impossible to achieve the same performance from a darker film to a light film. However with the advances in technology there are now films offering solutions to this question. These films are very light generally only stopping around 30% of natural light with very high heat and in particular IR heat reduction. There is a downside however being the cost with some brands and ranges costing up to five times the cost of regular films.
