Mga bossing;

I suggest you first install some insulation under the hood to isolate the heat from the engine.

Sayang naman yung hood.

try marine epoxy primer first, that is what we use for painting our fiberglass lifeboats. sprayable naman e, and you just need a thin coat. it works with either pure fiberglass or fiberglass reinforced plastic (frp). also, make sure you prepare the surface before you primer - sand it first with a fine grit sandpaper then clean with thinner to get rid of any oil.
suggestion is from our head painter on the rig.

hindi masilya, primer pards. marine epoxy primer. pero, BUT, yan e sa fiberglass boat namin dito sa rig ha. not sure if it will work on a hot car hood. ask mo muna sa marine paint dealer bago ka bumili. why not get a sample of primer (1 teaspoon), apply it on the underside of the hood and see if it sticks before you shell out the mullah. better bring the car when you go to the paint dealer. check mo yellow pages ang marine painting supplies.
another thing that you should consider before you try this is, is it compatible with the top coat you will use? kung hindi compatible e di bubula din yan agad.
and maybe that is the problem??? hindi compatible yung paint na gamit mo (automotive paint) with the fiberglass which could in fact be FRP, fiberglass reinforced plastic, in which case you need paint that will stick to plastic.
