August 10th, 2017 11:07 AM #1981My eyesight is okay but not too good in the dark. K37 has great visibility at night.
When I had the k37 wraparound heat rejection was good, noticeably better than the 10 year old magic tint it replaced. Now, my current car with k37 in the windshield and k28 in the windows is ok as well. Its a corolla and the aircon is very good, so I think that contributes a lot more than the tint. Just an observation, the tint might reject UV and some heat from coming in but the car still gets hot when parked. During 40+ degree days in the noon time you still feel heat from the windshield and the windows, even with the AC running.

August 10th, 2017 06:20 PM #1983my input about inside vs. outside temps, it's basic thermodynamics. if you are exposed to high temperatures long enough, the inside will eventually be almost if not as hot. if your aircon is running then they will sort of average out depending on thermal conductivity of all media in contact (tint, glass, metal, air, etc.). even the heat from your engine will seep in, but it's mitigated by the firewall.
now, heat transfer have different types. I would suppose the tint best blocks off heat from radiation. but aside from that there's conduction and convection where the tints can only do so much to minimize since it's too thin. even latent heat from living organisms and sensible heat from your gadgets contribute to the "room temperature" inside the car, but these contribute significantly less heat compared to other sources. in the end, having a good aircon system is the most important factor, followed by infiltration (heat from the engine and outside the car seeping in due to depleted/worn out firewall, opened windows, and seal condition of door rubber lining).

August 18th, 2017 12:18 PM #1984Hi! I'm planning to change my tint from the 3M ones na free sa casa (FX-ST if im not mistaken) to Vkool OEM 20 series. The 3M medium black tint they gave me was lighter than my other car also with 3M medium black tint (same car sila), which is probably why I feel the heat more inside compared to the other car. I would just like to ask pros and cons of Vkool OEM 20, especially who have this. Is it worth the upgrade? Thank you very much!

August 21st, 2017 06:34 AM #1987Here's my video of what V-kool K28 on the windshield and K14 on the rest of the car looks like from the inside. Mahina din mata ko and this setup works well for me. Yes, reflective ang K-series pero I think it blends well with the gray metallic color of the car.
