If I would get clear tints again, I might consider Sunbloc, although from pictures, their clear tint looks too bluish for me. I have to see an actual unit in person to decide.

There's a tsikoteer here who got a SunBloc Ultimate / Ultra (?) for 18T, he said it was different from the 12T tint ...

Also considering SunBloc for next tint ...

Thanks! Im also using a Q5 projector but with hylux ballast and osram bulb, so that may be why I found the HID on the pic a bit lacking in intensity.
Nevertheless, the civic LEDs are nothing short of impressive.

Indeed, your pics confirm that my observation is correct. That 3M CS has slightly better visibility(from the inside) compared to V-kool OEM.

I think my HIDs are beginning to lose output. I remember when the Civic was launched, I compared my HID to my officemate's Civic and the Mazda 3's HID was stronger.

I need to find a pic so I can also claim warranty from Tots since I've lost output under 2 years. 😂

    12T for sunbloc ultimate

18T for sunbloc Ultra, nasa FB page nila ung results pero nung dinemo nila sa akin using their gadget showing 99/100% rejection vs. Ultimate i was sold on the spot. Hehe..

Ung ultimate nila is panlaban sa huper optik na c70. Same bluish shade and same specs.

Here is the Ultra's shade, look at the white shade on my eve as reference. Medyo naging greenish/brownish na sya.. Sorry colorblind ako.. hehe..

Graduate na ko on any Vkool products, mahal amd humihina 4G and ectag signal ko. Heavy NLEX user ako so hassle.

    Vkool:

    3M:

Many people say that V-Kool is significantly better than 3M, but my testing proves otherwise. They're roughly the same.

Both shots were taken with the exact same camera settings - 1/8, f4.0, ISO 3200. Both cars have HID headlamps - Xenon for the Vkool car and LED for the 3M. The LED headlamps are slightly stronger, which is why interior visibility looks brighter with 3M. From the outside, this is how the headlights look (Vkool left, 3M right):

My point is, if your car already comes with free 3M (or whatever internationally known branded tint), you don't need to spend another 5-6k for Vkool OEM tint.

Now, V-Kool's higher end tints like the VK series are different. The VK70 is clear tint with the same heat rejection as my CS20. Of course, other brands like Huper Optik and 3M also have their own clear tints with high heat rejection, usually at a fraction of the cost of VK70.

Just putting it out there so that people can decide based on facts and not just marketing hype.

How many shades does the Sunbloc Ultra have? ... what is the lightest shade? ... same sentiment with V-Kool VK series, getting expensive and the service is becoming horrible ...

Sunbloc needs a thread and a rep. they seem to have a very good product.

You could have turned off the headlights so we see only street lights maybe that way we eliminate doubt if one headlight is brighter than the other. <try as much as possible to have the same exact condition>

Then it isn't realistic because I don't drive at night with my headlights off. All you'll see in a picture like that is mostly darkness, not a very relevant comparison. 😊

Actually, you can check the sodium light (and adjacent barrier?) and the lights at the center top (is that a building or a crane?). The VKool tint still has a noticeable visibility over the 3M. Would it matter? Probably, if you are in a dark highway driving at high speed.

Almost the same lang outside of the lit area - I cropped the picture to show the part not lit by headlamps:

    Vkool:

    3M:

The Vkool is slightly better - but remember, Vkool's VLT is actually higher - OEM 20 has a VLT of 19% while 3M CS20 has a VLT of only 16%.

So basically, Vkool OEM 20 is lighter than 3M CS20, which is why it also has a slightly lower TSER (50% vs 52%). Which is why I say that they're roughly the same.

Hi guys, medyo malabo mata ko and my previous car had solargard which has the lightest shade in the winsdhield and backglass and medium sa sides. Costed me 5k in Solargard San Juan way back 2014. Night visibility is superb and malabo pa mata ko nito but heat rejection is very bad. Pagbukas ko ng kotse ang init and antagal lumamig ng aircon pag nakababad (I also have leather seats) na sa araw

Im getting my new car (will install leather seats too)

Here is what i have in mind:
    V-Kool K Series wraparound.
    Budget 7k
    Winshield - Light
    Doors - Medium
    Backglass- Heavy

Ok po ba ito? Ayaw ko macompromise ang night visibility

Yung darkest ng K-series (K14), is lighter pa than the medium of ordinary black tint (like VKool OEM or 3M FX-ST). With poor eyes I think you can go with K28 (medium) for the windshield and K14 for windows and rear. Yung light nila, K37, is too visible and of course heat rejection is weaker compared ro the darker K-series tints.

I had K14 on all sides before. No complaints in terms of visibility and heat rejection. Hindi ko lang gusto aesthetics from outside because it's reflective like all other magic tints.

Had a hard time driving at night too. I put in K37 sa windshield and excellent ang night time visibility. Plus hindi ka rin visible from outside. Same heat rejection compared to solargard gsg medium and 3M light. Yun lang nga, like what jut said, magic tint ang color nya which is goldish

No cellphone signal interference po ba pag naka wraparound K series? May nabasa kasi ako somewhere..

If not, I'll go for K series light and medium nalang for the rest para sigurado mata ko. May sunshade naman hehehe.. Ok na saken medyo kita loob basta reflective pa din sya. If sa gabi ba reflective ba din or nagiging dark sya?

My last vehicle has k37 in the windshield and all windows and it was a really good setup. No 3g or GPS problems. The vehicle initially had 10 year old 3m magic tint which was discolored already. I had a hard time driving in unlit roads at night (ex. going down sumulong highway) and I had to open my windows. With the k37 wraparound it was a lot brighter and no need to open windows.

My car now has k37 in the windshield and k28 in the rest of the vehicle. Its not bad but if i were to do it again I would like the k37 wrap around. I don't like that the k28 is reflective in some angles. Also in some unlit or poorly lit parking areas, i have to open my windows when I am driving in reverse looking at the side mirrors.

Do you have bad eyes also sir? How is the heat rejection when parked under the sun for K37?

K37 is my first choice since it offers good night visibility (I drive at an average of 2hrs every night during rush hour and have bad eyes too thats why I need all the light I can get with a balance of heat rejection and little privacy).

Anyone here have 'V Kool' tint?
