Ako minsan hindi ko napapansin yung date nung last post kaya nagrereply ako. guilty ako dito. hehe! Pero kung very informative nman yung old post at biglang nagrevive I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

its all right with me. some of them use the search function and talagang tiyaga instead of "just posting a new thread"...

I'd like to think of this as recycling; its a good thing naman especially if the thread gains relevance over time.

The simple fact is that there are so many threads yet so little time to participate in them.

Di lang dito yan sa Tsikot, lahat ng mga online forum has that problem lalo na yung search function, minsan hindi ma-detect ang thread or post so we end up merging all the time.

Isa lang ibig sabihin nyan...................yung mga bagong forumers gumagamit na ng SEARCH function!

Buti nga nag-se-search. Too bad if the thread is revived for the wrong topic...

Oh well, it's not just here... it happens all the time.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

wala naman po sigurong masama kung ma-revive yung old posts, especially kung interesting like what others said.

if you found out that it is annoying, just disregard... hindi naman siguro sinasadya, especially ng mga newbie, na mag post ng old topics since they are adhering to forums protocol not to post the same topics kung meron nang naka thread... and by using SEARCH functions....

Nasa admin and mods na lang ang desisyon kung buburahin nila by means of "pruning" yung old topics.

Pero mas maganda kung may archives ang isang forum for future reference, especially yung mga hot issues. lalo na yung topic about hacking tsikot.com (1st family ko ang tsikot when it comes to forum )... once you pruned your forum, you can not retreive the old posts.

If the thread is still relevant, I think it's okay to revive. E.g. the Nice Article by Ramon Tulfo thread.

wala akong sinabing bawal... sinasabi ko lang just like the alprez thread, 2 yrs ago wala naman pumansin and yet when someone revive it, nagkaissue na...

tama dapat may archive na lang ang 1 yr and older posts...

Minsan I do that, revive old thread, to follow up on what happened (repaired , solved, in progress) to the queries. Pero may time yun thread e ni rerevive with malice intended.

imo, nothing wrong with it. in my case, i ignore it if i'm not intersted on the topic. just like on newly created threads, if i'm not interested, i look at other threads that captures my attention.

Reviving an old thread is always better than creating a new one. Why? Because most of the guys who do that uses the Search function! Saludo ako sa kanila who does this!

I really do not mind. Like the Mon Tulfo Article Thread that was revived 2X already and which I encountered a while ago. This particular one is timely because of the current holiday traffic situation. It gives a breeze of fresh air to remind us to be cool during these 'trying times'.....
