OT: Need trafik advisory lang mga Tsikoteers:

I will go to Baguio next Friday.

Aside from being at Urdaneta before the 7 to 8 AM window to avoid long trafik. What other time within the day (day time) na hindi masyado mahaba trafik sa Urdaneta?

If I take the alternate route (saan ba ito exactly?) how much is the additional travel time to Bauio?

    Thank you.

been there with the family two weeks ago. stayed in one of the little hotels in leonard wood road. baguio is nice this time of year.

traffic nga lang lagi sa session road, hirap pa mag park. what we usually did was park our cars at SM (flate rate 20 bucks) then walk the rest of the way to wherever we would go sa city center.

Unless you know the Urdaneta alternate route very well, I'd suggest you just follow the traffic window. Dati nadaan ako dun. Nakaiwas nga sa traffic kaso the road was so narrow and the rice driers and carabao carts were so many, I think I took even longer!

Bawal na po mag park sa Session road on both side from 6-9 am and 4-7 pm
Experimental lang but i've read that the mayor plans to extend this kasi maganda daw feedback at lumuwang ang traffic..

Well for those who will be coming this Panagbenga festival, it is time to make your hotel reservations baka mapuno agad...

It's still nice in Baguio today..It is very cold day today ..kaninang madaling araw nag register daw ng 10.something degrees celsius.. medyo makulimlim pa ang langit and there was a short drizzle a while back.

Most special occasions (weddings, seminars) are held there. That was before (2 or 3 years ago). Haven't been there lately to attend some functions.. Try to scout other Hotels.. they may offer you what you and your family needs...

    enjoy your vacation..

wag lang kalimutan pag-baba ng Baguio, don't just use brakes while free-wheeling, baka masunog preno mo. samahan lang ng konting engine brake palagi para maiwasan sakit ng ulo.

If I remember it right, sa Hotel Supreme kami nagstay ng family ko last 2002 and ok naman experience namin.

Medyo malayo yang Hotel Supreme and matraffic yung area na yan papunta La Trinidad.Mahaba kasi yang Magsaysay Ave. I would suggest other hotels near session like Veniz (across Burnham and the market) and Microtel which is beside Victory Liner terminal or Bloomfield across SM. They also have lower rates.

Yup. Perfect for chilly days.

Sir Optep how much ba regular taxi rate and negotiated falt rate to go around baguio city?

Bukas na punta namin ni misis pero undecided pa ako if i will drive a car or take a bus. Hindi ba mahirap mag comute sa baguio at this time of the year?

    Thanks in advance.

Flag down ng taxi is 25. nag i increment ng 1.50

Di gaano mahirap mag commute ngayon. if you take the victory liner bus, pagbaba nyo dun sa terminale eh malapit lapit na session road or SM.

Convenient kayo. That is, if you are already familiar with the route around Baguio. Bawal na kasi parking sa session road on certain times. Traffic is moderate to heavy at times lalo na sa may papunta ng session road o SM.

Pero since malamig pa ngayon, why not walk na lang?

Most recent na umakyat sa amin ng Baguio was my Aunt. Two weeks ago parang Php1,000++ yung upa niya sa FX for 8 hours.

Frankclean, Hanren and Otep - thank you for the information and advice. We will just ride via Victory Bus. Akala ko kasi marami na tourist because of the flower festival eh mid of feb pa pala yun. Ang malayo lang naman is our destination guest house sa bakakeng road and place of our conference at john hay. In case of change of mind ready naman xwind ko to go up though top speed is only 120kph at hirap sa overtake kasi A/T. Regards to all.

    Hi Guys:

I'd appreciate any update on the traffic situation in Urdaneta. Is the roadwork that's taking forever still on-going?

Also, has anyone tried the alternative route published in C! magazine sometime last year.

Thanks for the advice. We'll be going up next weekend.

Just got back from Baguio. Urdaneta is good to go na! Coming from manila use the concepcion > la paz > Victoria > Ramos > Paniqui route. May mga signs bro or you can ask the friendly folks around the area. lastly check your car's status and make sure it's in tip top shape. Have a safe trip!
