Here is something I got from my facebook account...

    Here's a racket I experienced at NAIA 1:

If you think airport taxi rates are exorbitant and you plan to take a regular metered cab at the departure area so you can save, well think twice. Or at least be wary of a new modus operandi some preying taxi drivers now employ.

Once you step out of the departure exit to look for a cab which just dropped off a departing passenger, be on the look out for a guy who acts like he knows you, waving you to take a cab that just happens to be free at the time.

Apparently, their tactic is for the barker to lead the arriving passenger into a cab, even opening the trunk for you so you'd put all your stuff at the back. Then once you get in, the guy sits in the front passenger seat with you in the cab. Irregular, yes but you may think the tall guy was just hitching a ride to the exit. Moments later, as you head down the ramp, the barker hands you a laminated rate card of the Airport Taxi service. Wait a minute, this was supposed to be a metered taxi ride, right? Hence why you went to the departure area to get a departing cab. There was nothing on the taxi to say it was an Airport Taxi, and those are only available at the arrival area. Moreover, these guys don't even have a receipt! .......

Ganito nangyari samin sa Terminal 3 naman, almost same modus.. May mineet kami sa arrival area to claim some padala from kamag-anak. After that, we took a cab from the departure area so we can avoid the Yellow airport taxi's which are far more expensive than the ordinary. No one assisted us, nakapila kasi yung white taxi so we presumed na metered sya. We said Cubao, pumayag si driver. Then we noticed hindi nya pinindot yung metro and proceeded pababa ng ramp. So nagalit na ko at nakipagtalo, in the end we had no choice but bumaba ng Coastal Road para lumipat ng ibang taxi.. Terminal 3 to Coastal road costs us Php 500.. EMP Transport yung company ng taxi plate number TXH 875

From that day on we never took any EMP Taxi's and asked our friends to do the same.

At kailan?
