Actually tama si Karel. Its just that from the consultants experience the demand right now is for people with Engineering backgrounds. Specially place like Calgary, right now they are into building infrastructure. (telecom, roads etc...) Puro bundok at lakes kasi Canada :D

Anyway wala naman bayad mag pa acess doon sa Consultant na kakilala ko...so kung interesado kayo PM nyo ko...i'll give the contact details.

Yung sa investors visa puwede din yon....kaya lang you have to cough up around 300k USD...deposit it to them for 4 years...NO INTERST...thats right ...NO INTEREST

Karel : Your Canadian right? :D

what i know, inalis na yung makakakuha ka ng us visa via drop box lang with no apperance needed after the 9/11, but then that was only applicable for visa renewal... sa ngayon lahat na kelangan ng apperance...

FRT, yup. I'm Canadian but I was born there so I didn't have to go through applying etc. I know how long an application is processed etc because I have friends and relatives both in taiwan and in the Philippines who are applying or who have applied for Canadian Immigration Visas. Apparently, they process applications faster in HK, I don't know why.

Re: US Visa, I think it's they are really being careful. I don't blame them. After what happened in 9/11, I would really be strict in issuing VISAS. Kaya lang US$200??? that's too much!

We had an interview for my son's visa last May 15. The consul gave my son two years for his visa not bad considering the first time we applied for his visa last year, he was given a single entry pass.

Only who? Only americans or only in america?

only americans = those are the mail order bride enterpreneurs and not the goverment.

only in america = its a global mail order bride bro, its been happening for the longest.

anyway, ang approval ng Visa is a case by case basis. Palagay nating nabigyan ng Visa ang anak ni Juan. Pero ilang taon na ba yung anak ni Juan compared to the original thread starter natin na nag-tanong ng question.

$200 isn't too much if you factor the money you will be making if you plan on working in the US of A, correct?

1994 pa nag apply ang nanay ko sa petisyon ng overaged na mga utol ko, til now processing pa din amfutah.

no appearance Visa, you have gotta be dreaming.

hmm... medyo OT itong tanong ko, a...

i have a US passport because i was born there.. pero may dual citizenship ako, so i'm also recognized as a filipino...

let's say i go to the US or some other country and i'll be using my US passport... pagbumalik ba ako dito, hahanapan ba ako ng visa or some other documents?

please enlighten me on this one.. kasi matagal na ako pinapa-bakasyon sa states, pero i didn't go dahil nga dyan sa question na yan. some said na pagawa ako ng phil passport tpos kapag pabalik na daw ako dito sa pinas, un daw ung gamitin ko. ayoko nman un.. kasi parang delikado.. imagine, dalawa ung passports na dala ko. nakakatakot, e. baka ano pa isipin ng mga tao na nasa airport if they find that out.

No, you dont need a visa if your on your way back home na! The philippines is an open country, meaning no need for a visa for visitors aka tourists........just like hongkong.......HTH

you don't need visa to get in the Philippines if you have a US passport. We are in the same boat. I have a canadian passport and a Philippine Passport but I use the Canadian Passport for travel because based on my experience Blue Passport (US/CANADA) = less questions, less hassle.

When we were working at Microsoft Great Plains, we got our US visas without having to go to the US embassy for interviews. So no-appearance visas are possible, depende na lang siguro sa sponsor.

Earliest possible interview date if you call the US embassy today for an appointment is August 24, 2004.

You'll need a 9G visa to stay here na matagal. I'm a non-quota immigrant dito so dinaanan ko mga ganun sa B.I. You need a 9G to validate your stay here and to be able to work if dual citizen ka. I suggest you talk to an immigration lawyer about this or visit ka sa http://www.immigration.gov.ph/IMmigration-laws.htm
