ang alam ko ay may NO-immigration policy ang singapore. meron sila guest workers, they only issue a work permit. in fact may nakausap akong singaporean woman, ang asawa niya pinoy.

December 26th, 2004 03:41 PM #4The easiest way to stay longer in Singapore is to get a stable job first.
Apply an employment pass then apply ka ng Permanent Residence. Heto lang ang paraan to stay long term.
Kung may chinese blood ka medyo mas madali.
Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year!

December 26th, 2004 04:49 PM #5I agree with jds. sa ngayon maluwag sa pinoy sa pag bibibgay ng permanent residency dun provided you are already in Singaqpore and working under Employment pass permit.pag work permit ka mahirap makakuha PR. some of my friends nakakuha na.
i you like a peaceful, clean at walang traffic singapore is a place to go.....sarap din pagkain mura pa.

swertihan lang yan minsan...
my best friend works as unix systems analyst at hp/compaq singapore. he used to work at sss main at east avenue as unix admin. he was a happy alcoholic and womanizer in manila (alam ko, ako sparring partner e hehehehe) and then wala lang, he just received an email from compaq singapore asking him for an interview. di nga nya alam pano nakuha email address nya e at di naman siya naghahanap ng ibang work. di siya nag-respond pero 1 week later they called him at home insisting that he go to singapore for an interview. they paid for his ticket and expenses to singapore, offered him lotsa mullah he could not refuse (read that as "signing bonus"!). after 2 weeks he was back in singapore working for compaq (which was later bought by hp) with a starting salary of S$5k per month plus allowances. 5 years na siya dun, S$7k per month na sweldo nya plus housing (S$1200) and transpo allowance (S$1000).
alam ko meron web site ang singapore companies. google search mo na lang, pwede ka magpadala ng resume mo dun. pag qualified ka bakit ba naman hindi ka nila tatawagin. don't bother going to recruitment agencies, peperahan ka lang at mababa ang sweldo. use the internet pare, it's the way to go.
