EMPLOYEES can look forward to a long weekend next week after Malacaņang declared December 24, Thursday, and December 27, Monday as special non-working days nationwide.
Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said Proclamation No. 750 was issued "to afford our countrymen longer time to spend with their loved ones, to enable them to have a more meaningful observance of Christmas, and to give them greater opportunities to strengthen their ties with each other."
December 25 (Christmas Day), December 30 (Rizal Day), and January 1 (New Year's Day) are regular holidays, while December 31 is a special holiday.

December 18th, 2004 02:01 AM #13Itatanong ko sana kung paid or not ang ganitong klaseng holiday sa Pinas. Kawawa nga naman ang arawan na employees dahil bakasyon tapos walang bayad? Holiday sa company ko ang 24th so 23rd pa lang ng 5pm, byahe na mga kailangang bumiyahe.
