My 70+ Tita wants to go to Tagaytay and I can't decide where to take her.

I was planning on lunch at Firelake Grill or Leslie's. I thought of Kanin Club too but she lives near the area already. I need an activity before or after lunch. What do you guys recommend? How about Pink Sisters? I don't know how to go there though

We can't go to Caleruega since that is too far already. I need to leave Tagaytay by 3 pm.

Caleruega is only 15 to 20 minutes after Taal Vista Lodge. You can go there after breakfast.

Yup, there are several picnic areas along Tagaytay ridge. For breakfast i'd recommend Breakfast at Antonios (sa may area past the radar ata)... then after breakfast you drive out to Calaruega.

There are some small hotel resorts like Estancia which also have swimming pools so pwede kayo mag swimming din (i havent been there in over 10 years though).

if you're going to visit taal lake/volcano, words of caution lang:

-- ung pony/horse ride going to the top of taal volcano is quite rugged. kung meron kayong kasamang medyo mahina ang katawan/puso, bata o matanda, i'd recommend you trek na lang. delikado talaga ung pony trail, me inclines na more than 45 degrees, and on some points mga 1 foot lang ang width ng dinadaanan. nahulog na nga nanay ko, nadaganan pa ng kabayo. buti na lang matibay pa si ma. it's a bad place to get hurt in imho.

-- magugulang ung mga tao dun, from the guys handling the ponies to the store selling 20-peso 8oz softdrinks at the top. naspoil siguro ng mga foreign tourists, kaya ang kakapal humingi. the guys handling the horses also order drinks, then asked the store keeper to charge it to you -- without your prior consent.

the view at the top is ok, pero medyo naspoil dahil sa mga points mentioned.

guys if you're going to taal volcano to hike, just pm me or text me. may kakilala me kasi na pwede magtour or sumama sa inyo. package na usually yun, from the boat na hihiramin, sa irrent na horse and other things. i'm not saying na free pero baka mas mabigyan pa kayo ng price na medyo mas mababa kaysa sa regular one's.

basta, if anyone's interested in touring or going to tagaytay or taal just for a tour or relaxation, text or pm me first baka matulungan ko kayo. tulong ko na ito para sa mga tsikoteers... basta let me know in advance before yung date na pupunta kayo para maayos ko din sa sked ko. ok ba guys? wala lang sana aabuso hehehe...

May nakikita din ako na pang campsite dun (goin to picnic groove) pro di pa me nagpupunta dun.

Hotels stayed sa estancia before, oks naman, yung room namin walang aircon (fan lang) malamig naman and view is very good, sa days inn ok din kaya lang mahal eh but view is ok

YUng house of mary nasa tapat ng DAP, maliit na chapel lang sya, pero serene, might also like to visit pink sisters

since bday ng daughter mo, might as well go to caleruega church muna to pray and give thanks. May mapapasyalan din kyo dun, saka sobrang tahimik. May picnic area din sa baba nun, sa trail ng stations of the cross, pero walang gaanong view, pero sobrang tahimik, family time u can bring board games para mejo masaya.

pabalik, you can drop by residence inn, may mini zoo dun na pdeng mapasyalan

kung weekend kayo pupunta, why not start it with a mass. pink sisters 6:30 yung mass. chapel on the hill (nice view!) 9 am. caleruega, 9 am rin. after that, eat breakfast at antonio's or sonya's garden. pero personal fave ko ang josephine's breakfast buffet. P199 lang. hehe. kung may time for overnight, i suggest stay at canyon woods. perfet for family. yun g casitas dun P4K kasya 6. di naman sila strict sa food so you can bring your own. breakfast buffet rate din is P199/person. madaming magagawa sa canyon woods like swiiming, mini golf, tennis..et. bonding talaga for family.

IMO, huwag ka na pumunta sa palace in the sky, it's a waste of gasoline/time, kung ano makikita mo from Picnic Grove, ganun din makikita mo sa Palace in the sky
