MANILA, Philippines – November 29 is a non-working holiday in observance of Bonifacio Day, a Malacanang official said Thursday.
The public holiday actually falls on November 30 but the government's holiday economics policy pushes its observance as a non-working day to the nearest Monday, said Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte.
Philippine revolution leader and Katipunan founder Andres Bonifacio was born on Nov. 30, 1863.
