My kids usually enjoy the horseback ride in the morning and just playing at the playground in our place all afternoon, and the occasional kicks at the soccer field in one of the schools. Of course they also like topping off the evening with smores at the fireplace.

As for me, i enjoy just eating at the various places, then sleeping or watching TV at home. We go up to relax and rest in the cool climate more than anything else.

Traffic is considerably lighter during non-tourist season (ordinary days) specially compared to what everyone experienced during the christmas season and the 5 days holiday when the pope was in the country.

If you want to experience the real baguio... come over during ordinary days and not during the holiday rush and long weekends... including panagbenga season what we baguio folks normally do during this season is to go down to manila and other provinces to avoid the traffic here

Kala ko "working student" population ang dahilan ng pag-akyat mo. Hehehe!

Pucha bro! Wasn't kidding when I said that Metro Manila was in Baguio for the weekend. Dagsa ng tao! Pero I'm glad to hear that the trip to and from Baguio wasn't as bad for other tsikoteers. They all didn't join the Thursday morning rush.

Good Shepherd was jampacked as well. Buti na lang may ibang lane yung senior citizens (God bless my parents! Hehehe!), so kahit pila pa din, it wasn't as long as the regular lane.

activities para sa 4 year old: horseback riding sa wright park or john hay. boat ride and cycling sa burnham. camping out at john hay (until he/she complains and you then head back to the hotel for more comfortable beds.) kung medyo malaki na sana anak mo baka ma-appreciate nya strawberry picking sa trinidad.

para sa matanda: picture picture, selfie selfie! stroll sa session sa gabi. post pictures in FB while at burnham waiting for your kid's bike ride to finish or worrying that your kid will be hit by bigger bikers. rowing the boat. climbing up lourdes grotto. looking out mines view park and appreciating the garbage down below. eating. eating dog at burnham! going to mass at the cathedral. shopping for overpriced goods at john hay's mile high. visiting the market for vegies and walis (which are all priced higher than metro manila because they can tell you're a tourist). going to imelda park (botanical garden) and complaining about the garbage. picture picture sa mansion house. trying hard to bribe the guard at the mansion to let you in (tell him you'll buy 2 of his parachute chord hammocks!) buying vegies again at trinidad valley but this time at lower prices than at baguio market then discovering when you get home that the prices are the same at SM north and even lower at farmers' market cubao. snuggling with your partner, 4 y.o. in the middle hahaha!
Actually, my 5 yo and 3 yo enjoyed the strawberry picking. Kelangan lang alalayan para makarami. Did the Wright Park horseback riding on the Thursday afternoon - but you gotta keep tabs on the time. May magulang na handler, 15 mins pa lang pinabalik na sa gilid. Buti umayos siya. Grabe yung Mines View na road. Trapped ka doon. Tapos 1 way pa at some times/points yun, kaya mapapasabay ka even if you're going to Good Shepherd. That area needs help in terms of traffic flow.

Hehehe... mukhang naka-preset na yung mind mo ah? :D

If you go up during a "peak" travel time, best thing to do is to get all your usual Baguio trips done in the morning and then hole up in one place in the afternoon.

Hahaha! Di naman. Medyo lang ;)

Yeah, I agree. Get it done in the morning, then sit back and lounge around in the afternoon. Then go somewhere else in the morning. Nakakatamad gumising ng maaga, pero mas nakakaasar maipit sa traffic.
