assuming that you still do not have any problems with your tranny, the basic concern is the proper oil change interval of the tranny oil.
and be sensitive dun sa response ng oto mo, which can be a sign of a dying clutch or transmission.

-Gear oil, be sensitive to vibrations radiating to the shift knob, that's a sign.
-Be sensitive to dragging, start of pressure plate, release bearing problems
-Don't be a clutch driver. Results to premature clutch problems, in general.
-Don't do burn outs, or barking launches. It cooks your clutch.
