help newbie... for a 1995 lancer evolution mababa menor, good or no?

sabi po kasi yun nagbenta sa amin, pag mababa daw ang menor tipid sa gas..pero when my uncle check it sabi nya dapat balanse lang kasi masisira naman yun engine?need some advice..thanks sa inyo mga master!

sundin dapat ang recommended timing settings ng engine for better engine performance. sayang naman ang pagka-evo ng oto kung sakal ang engine.

Kirstenchloe911, idle rpm for this kind of engine should be 1000rpm max and 400rpm min, although you can decrease the rpm down to 300rpm, this is not recommended, because the engine may stall when you start the ac. Most users use 650-700rpm. If you are for accuracy, your mechanic should adjust the idle speed with a tachometer.

Regular cleaning with a carb cleaner is ideal for smoother acceleration. Happy motoring!

lancer evo is a performance car. idling pa lang 1000rpm+ na and uses the most expensive gas.

no offense, but u might be referring to a 1995 1.6. GLXi fuel injected lancer modded to look like an evo. if this is the case, just set the idle to 750-800rpm without aircon. that would balance the engine para di nanginginig.

It seems Lancers have this common problem or bug if you will. I'm also relatively new on cars mine is 1.3 Carb Type 1997 Lancer got similar problem (Lancer Idling problem ). In addition to that it's fc is relatively high for a 1.3 engine only getting 7.7-8km/l on city driving.
