A/T problem mitsu lancer glxi 96

[SIZE=2]sir asking lang po when engine is cold the shifting is ok,but when car is use 30 minute driving the A/T won't shift in 2nd gear won't **** in 4th gear [/SIZE]its steady on 3rd gear when i try to full speed the RPM is 5000 rpm max speed 100kps only why my car won't shift in low gear and high gear?

your problems seems to be temperature related. has the Malfunction Indicator Light illuminated? there could be a problem with the coolant temperature sensor. it sounds like it is shifting at default. this will not enable the overdrive.

opo sir parang naka default nga lang...hinde din po gumagana yung oever drive nya,.saan ko po makikita yung coolant temperature sensor? para ma check ko po kung busted na?

your engine coolant temperature sensor is usually located around the thermostat housing, this is a two wire sensor

sir posible po ba na yun ang problema kaya ayaw gumana ng over drive? at pag mainiit na yung makina ay nag de default na yung shifting nya? yun kasi napansin ko pag ginamit ko na sya at umabot ng 30 minute driving ,.parang hinde na sya nag shi shift..parang naka default na lang sya

sir di ko po makita yung temperature sensor,.pwede po pa upload ng photo?

Hi we have a same car with a same problem. and ang suggestion ng mekaniko ko is irebuild ang tranny. eto ung skin pag bagong bukas auto ok. pero pag pasok ng segunda may bigla. kung baga pag naka manual nag popower shift haha. thats why kpag nag low gear ako tapos 4k rpm pag psok ng 2nd gear kumakamot. tapos pag nag topak na xa. ung gear. nka pako na sa 2nd gear. kya hirap humatak khit ilagay ko sa low gear ung shifter walang ng yayari. kpg rekta naman . pako din xa sa 3rd or 2nd gear. galit makina ramdam naman tapos below 100 kph takbo.

ganyan din nangyayari sa mitsu itlog ko.ano kaya posible cause nito pag 5 to 15 minute ko sya gamit since first start,.i feel the A/T shifting is ok idle at 900 when A/C on idle speed 600. pero pag 30 minute ko na ginagamitdi ko na ma feel na nag shift sya parang naka steady na lang sya sa 3rd gear. idle nya bagsak na sa 300 to 400. pag biglang preno biglang nangangatal na makina. parang mamamatay.parang ang bigat bigat ng kanyang dinadala..hirap na sya umarangkada,..kung sa manual na tranny. parang nag shift ka sa 3rd gear. hinde sa 1st gear

when i hit the 6000 RPM speed its fix to 120. hinde na sya umaabot ng 140 to 160 at parang gusto ng makina na mag shift pa sya.
pero sagad na sa 120 ungol na ungol na ang engine.

hi, got the same problem sa Mits Lancer AT itlog .
while driving, bigla ayaw na magshift sa 2nd gear. then ng malapit na sa haus, halos ayaw na magforward ganun din sa reverse.
good thing nakarating nako haus
Nung buksan ko hood, tsek on the deep stick ng tranny, medyo nakaangat cia at may lumabas na ATF,
- could it be that nalubak ako kaya umangat? or bec of pressure sa pag taas rPM kaya umangat?
- one thing, nung friday na yun lakas ulan, nilusong ko pero di naman ganun kataas, could it be that nalagyan ng tubig ang tranny? how do I know sa ATF kungmeron water halo ang outfit

Till now di ko pa napapagawa , wla ako budget pa eh
had it check, pag bago start, kaya nia lumakad pag na na D, pero afte few minutes di na kaya magforward.
What could be the problem, help guys, wala ako budget to get a surplus or rebuild a tranny.

I think its a tranny problem already, defective na yung o rings mo sa main drive..ok pag cold kasi naka seal pa o rings, pag mainit na and operating temperature, tumitigas na sya so lumulusot na ang pressure ^_^
