A/T problem mitsu lancer glxi 96

your problems seems to be temperature related. has the Malfunction Indicator Light illuminated? there could be a problem with the coolant temperature sensor. it sounds like it is shifting at default. this will not enable the overdrive.

opo sir parang naka default nga lang...hinde din po gumagana yung oever drive nya,.saan ko po makikita yung coolant temperature sensor? para ma check ko po kung busted na?

your engine coolant temperature sensor is usually located around the thermostat housing, this is a two wire sensor

sir posible po ba na yun ang problema kaya ayaw gumana ng over drive? at pag mainiit na yung makina ay nag de default na yung shifting nya? yun kasi napansin ko pag ginamit ko na sya at umabot ng 30 minute driving ,.parang hinde na sya nag shi shift..parang naka default na lang syasir di ko po makita yung temperature sensor,.pwede po pa upload ng photo?

Hi we have a same car with a same problem. and ang suggestion ng mekaniko ko is irebuild ang tranny. eto ung skin pag bagong bukas auto ok. pero pag pasok ng segunda may bigla. kung baga pag naka manual nag popower shift haha. thats why kpag nag low gear ako tapos 4k rpm pag psok ng 2nd gear kumakamot. tapos pag nag topak na xa. ung gear. nka pako na sa 2nd gear. kya hirap humatak khit ilagay ko sa low gear ung shifter walang ng yayari. kpg rekta naman . pako din xa sa 3rd or 2nd gear. galit makina ramdam naman tapos below 100 kph takbo.

I think its a tranny problem already, defective na yung o rings mo sa main drive..ok pag cold kasi naka seal pa o rings, pag mainit na and operating temperature, tumitigas na sya so lumulusot na ang pressure ^_^
