* Step22,
Do some calculations muna sir before making any modifications. You might find na it may not be worthwhile to do any mods. If you want I can do the math for you. Just give me the following figures:
Petrol Price - ?
Kilometers per month or per year - ?
How long do you still want to keep your car - ?
What is the target fuel consumption you want - ? (Must be reasonable for your cars condition)

Have a tune up done. Fresh oil, spark plugs, distributor cap, etc...
Change transmission fluid it may be old already. They also have filters, replace the filter and fluid at the same time.
Remove unnecessary weight in the car.
Correct tire pressures help.
Drive sensibly too.

my 96 honda lxi matic ranges from 9 to 11 km/li in city driving, depending on traffic, mood, and aircon use. I was thinking of the overall longevity of the transmission rather than the short-term cost of fuel and maintenance. Can someone tell me if it's worth keeping my car or should I get rid of it now and just get a manual?

lancer 97 matic
I got 10 km/l computation ko
di ko alam kung bakit pero siguro nakatulong to:
change air filter to KNN (with MAF adaptor)
change oil with synthetic (Royal Purple to be exact)
nung nagbalik ako sa ordinary mineral oil last computation ko 8 km/l
kung may pera siguro magandang alternative:
change engine to 4G92 mivec 2nd generation 1.6 or mivec md (kaso mahal) or
4G93T mabilis na matipid hehe
Ask ko lang naka by pass na ba Yan or servo pa din ang gamet mo
4g15 rare Idle motor (servo)
