No Clutch

Sirs,

Ask ko lang sana kung anu kaya problem if while on driving minsan nawawala yun clutch, as in ala na resistance pagtinatapakan mo and cant change gear anymore? Pero after a few seconds nagkakaroon din, binobomba ko lang un clutch tapos bumabalik din?

another question po, is normal ba if naka 1st gear ako and without stepping on the gas pedal and releasing the clutch slowly is aabante na yun kotse? parang automatic transmission?

What is your car?

I am assuming your clutch is a hydraulic type. Have a mechanic check your car's hydraulic system in relation to the clutch. It could be a leak or fluid level is low.

boss, corolla 92 small body pala yun kotse and i believe cable type po siya.

When you say "cant change gear" ... do you mean you cannot engage any gear (can't go forward or reverse)?

Yes sir, lets say nasa 2nd gear ako and after going to full stop, dadalhin ko sa 1st gear, hindi na pwede. ang tigas na and even sa neutral ayaw din. as in para syang nagstockup sa 2nd gear. unless pump ko ulit yun clutch, pwede ko na ulit galawin freely yun gear.

Just a guess... your tranny might need it's lubrication checked or even overhauled.

Does the tranny sound "noisy" (whine)?

Hindi naman siya noisy, same sound pa din naman siya. earlier a friend of mine also suggested na baka yun clutch master assembly ang sira. and since hydraulic yun clutch nya, im wondering kung applicable din sa cable-type clutch yun ganun? if yes. siguro nga yun na ang sira nung sakin. Nabasa ko din sa ibang forums na if ganun ang sira is kadalasan yun clutch master ang pinapalitan. Anyways thanks for the help sir.

bro kung may clutch master at slave, hydraulic po yan.. lalo na kung bumabalik pag binomba mo.. hydraulic clutch yan.. you have to replace the master and slave assembly.. buy the whole assembly and not the repair kit para mas maganda..

at normal po yung pag slowly release the clutch eh aandar ang kotse mo even without stepping on the accelerator.. try mo biglang release yan.. observe what will happen

ganun pala, normal pala yun aandar ang MT even without stepping on gas, heheh. sorry po. now ko lang napansin kasi. para din palang AT.

Ah ganun po sir? naku para sa hydraulic type lang pala ang clutch master at slave? ang alam ko kasi sir cable type yun sakin,corolla 92 2e small body 12valve. please correct me...
