with an A/T... best to have a jumper cable in your car. I do but so far I've only used it once on my car... my brother borrows it more often though, he also has a A/T car.

Five ang A/T vehicles na inaalagaan ko. Wala pa namang nasisira kahit may kalumaan na ang tatlo ('81, '87, '97). Although 'kumatok' yung A/T ng '75 MB240D namin dati dahil nauubusan ng fluid (leaked) pero neglect na lang kasi yun.

Hindi practical palitan on newer cars. Sorry. Pwede pero lugi ka sa gastos.

Older matics pwede mo 'i-tow start' hehehe. Pero delikado yun. Once pa lang namin ginawa. Just bring jumper cables. Pero in my experience, mas madali pang humiram na lang ng battery from another car to start it then reconnect old battery kapag started na.

Walang BORING sa MATIC lalu na kapag tatlong oras kanang nasa traffic.... IF you want the best of both world try tiptronic or sportronic.....

Maraming factors just like the others have said. One good example would be : a EVO GTA for my wife ( if it ever comes) and an RS EVO for me ....

Hindi ba masisira ang ECU pag gumamit ka ng jumper cables? Which would be safer for the ECU, using jumper cables or swap batteries?

BOTH are safe unless you reverse the polarity.... :wink:

yung mga kakilala kong nag shift ng manual to auto sinasabi nila na di na raw sila babalik sa manual, dali na daw mag drive, nerbiyoa kasi esmi ko pag humihinto a paakyat tapos may kotse sa likod, kay balak ko talaga sanang palitan kaya lang sayang
din, mas trip ko pa rin yung may kambiyo, kulit si esmi eh

yun yung sinasabi ni DY3JRM. Sportronic merong option ang 97-01 USDM Honda Prelude. Titronic naman tawag ng Porsche sa ganun. then ang BMW M3 naman, SMG, F1 inspired transmission.

Why not get the semi automatic ung ung may +/- para khit pno may kambyo pa d ba??

semi automatic is still an automatic, you have no control on the clutch engagement... also the car's ECU can override any shifts until its "safe" for the tranny to do so.

With a standard A/T, you can already shift between D-2-L so why need a semi-auto? I drive my A/T as if it was a M/T.

my auto tranny seems to lag when i shift from l-2 then d...
i would rev till 7-7500 then shift it goes down 2000 rpm (it takes a while before it engages) ... is this normal?
bought a surplus a/t tranny since i wrecked my old tranny.... can i make some adjustments so that i wouldnt lose much revs?

7500rpm to 2000rpm when it shifts to the next gear??? Usually it should drop to 3500 to 4000rpms to maximize torque. Your tranny might be shifting directly from L to D (skipping 2).

definitely not P and D with the drive wheels down... although not advisable, sa N mo ilagay kung nakababa yung drive wheels.

"N" po or disconnect the propeller/driveshaft.

sorry need to clarify, it goes down around 2000 rpm so if around 7500 mag shift mga 5000-5500 before the tranny engages
