hydraulic clutch adjustment

I used to drive a car with a cable type clutch. adjustment seems so easy and simple without major fix.

I want to ask if hydraulic clutch is also adjustable and how is it done?

hydraulic clutch release is not adjustable. the hydraulic system adjusts itself much like the hydraulic lifters for your intake and exhaust valves that maintain zero lash.

since shifting is hard to engage, what is the remedy then?

I do double pump on the pedal, not sufficient though.

difficulty in gear engagement is usually caused by misadjustment on the linkage or cable for non hydraulic clutch release systems. since you have a hydraulic system, the cause might be low on gear oil or the friction plate is either worn out or contaminated with oil. sometimes the difficulty of engagement into gear can be caused by worn out synchronizers. unless you are talking about increased effort to release the clutch, the cause could be binding linkage or clutch pedal arm.

hi good day, mayroon din po akong problem sa aking kia pregio.. kadalasan parang stuck up yung kambyo kahit naka-fully depress na yung clutch. naeexperience ko ito kapag naka primera at kung aatras ako.

ang senaryo ganito lalo na kapag magpapark, tapak sa clutch then kambyo sa primera pero once na hindi mo nirelease ang pagkakatapak sa clucth eh mahirap at stuck up kung kakambyo mo pa neutral or paatras so walang ibang choice kundi patayin ang makina. ganun din kung aatras.

so ang ginagawa ko..konting move/andar dapat release agad ng clucth tapos saka magkambyo na lng ulit. kung baga hindi pwedeng nakababad yung tapak ng clucth.

worst nito kapag trapik at medyo pataas yung daan..

first, start with the basic. change your transmission oil and take specimen of the drained used gear oil. use the recommended oil for the average ambient temperature where the truck is going to be used.

double pump normally works only for the hydraulic brake system.

Check under the clutch pedal of your pajero. In our lancer there is a adjustment on the clutch pedal where you can adjust the rod that is pushing on the clutch master. HTH
