i previously drove a 1999 GLXI AT from Makati to baguio on full load (with computers and three people), di naman sya nahirapang umakyat.
i think otep's theory is right, the ECU should be the one choosing the proper gearing if in "D". kakayanin yan.
not unless gusto mong tumakbo ng 80 kph+++ while going up...

August 23rd, 2006 02:17 PM #13Thanks guys for your reply. Just 2 months ago, i brought my GLXI (164,000 km already) to mitsubishi service center and have it change oil, replace spark plugs and adjusted valve clearance. After one month, i replaced the ATF with dexron2 oil and filter. Mas naging mausok yong car. whats the best ATF to be used?

Trade in the car for a Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT?
It's hard to modify an AT car for "hatak", but I figure you can finish a "safe" turbo set-up in under 100k pesos. Maybe a lot less if you can buy the turbo kit and manifold off of another Lancer owner. (probably 30-50k). The rest of the money will go to an air-fuel controller (10-20k) and tuning (10k+)
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I don't know about Lancers, but Monteros and Pajeros lose performance when not running the recommended OEM ATF.
