guys patulong naman kung sino makakapagbigay sa akin ng step-by-step instruction (or kung mabait talaga, do it for me, kahit dumayo na lang ako).

the leather thing that covers my shifter (manual transmission) ay may mga punit na. i bought this replacement from a shop. my problem is how do i remove the old cover and install the new one? takot ako to mess up hehe.

btw, my car is a civic 98.

    thanks in advance

in order to take out the shiftboot, you need to unscrew and lift the center console. take a look how your console is screwed in place, that should give you an idea how to attack the problem. once lifted, it's just a matter of taking off the old boot and inserting the new one.

ahhh... tatanggalin buong center console. akala ko isolated dun sa may shifter ang kailangan ko galawin. hmmm, medyo uneasy ako sa pag-galaw nito since hindi ako handy with my hands hehe...

sorry that's about the only I could find... it's for a DIY shift boot for an integra, but there's not much difference between the ek and the dc...

Dali lang yan pre! Try mo muna. Puro screws lang yan. Nothing will break if you are careful. Ganyan talaga pag first time DIY!

    napalitan ko na hehe!

it took me longer than i expected since i had to make adjustments dun sa nabili ko na shift boot cover. the base was not wide enough to stretch over the metal frame na pagkakabitan nya.

astig. thanks russpogi for the pdf and blink21me for the link

ey, wewoy. could you post some pics. also, was the replacement was 'stock' looking? mine had already a gash in it. but i couldn't replace it 'coz i don't fancy those aftermarket things. all i wanted is to get those stock looking kind. and how much?

    thanks in advance.

hindi po stock. it was a part of a "package" that includes a steering wheel cover, seatbelt cover, and shift knob cover. di kasi ako makahanap nung shifter cover lang. had to change the stock cover kasi may mga punit na. P399 at truevalue.

buti ka pa nakapaglapit na. ako naman i'm planning to change my shift boot too because it also has a small gash on it due to wear and tear i suppose. what i plan to do though is to order it from an auto uphlostery shop (where i had a seatcover set made) wherein i chanced upon the proprietor lugging one around (an order from his friend). ang ganda niya kasi black leather or leatherette (i can't remember which) siya w/ red stitchings on its side. parang oem talaga! pero next year ko na pagawa kasi daming gastos ngayon
