Just a background on the question.
May weird kasi na ingay sa tranny ko. I came across a thread na ang topic similar sa problem ko. To make the story short, yung naging solution nung nag-post ng thread sa problem niya ay nilagyan niya ng engine oil yung tranny. He does not recommend it though. Experiment lang niya but he said it worked.
I posted this thread baka kasi may iba pa na sumubok na ng ganito.

Actually for my Honda Civic 2003 model, the required oil for the transmission is any SJ rated engine motor oil. I did not believe it at first but it's true. Even a Service Advisor of Honda verified this. Nasa car manual din pala ito. By the way, Manual Transmission ang car ko. Suggest you check your car manual to be sure.

AFAIK the viscosity for tranny oil is starting around 75w-90. ganyan yung gear max ng Royal Purple.

depende yan, best is to consult the manual. ano engine ba yan? honda and isuzu are those using motor/engine oil for their manual transmission.

i use helix diesel (W15-40)for my tranny (manual).

Bro, puwede malaman kung ano brand ng engine oil na ginamit sa transmission ng civic mo at kung ano ang viscosity?

for most trannies, gear oil is a 75w90/80w90 etc weight. this is correct for most cars.

for honda without lsd's, you can use engine oil. anywhere from a 10w30 viscosity upwards is ok.

for hondas with lsd's, you need an lsd oil na 75w90.
