hello ask ko lang po i accidentally drived about 80kms distance naka D3 pala shifter ko saka ko lang napansin nung at home na ako. hindi po ba masama yun? or wala kayang magiging epekto yun?
at add ko na rin po kapag nagshift ako sa reverse bago magmove ang car is about 1.5 to 2 seconds tapos may knocking sound muna. parang "tok" saka pa magmomove.
thanks po

unless you count lower fuel economy during the drive itself, no problems.

nice taglish or englog. there should be no harsh effect unless your transmission oil overheated. it is similar to pulling a trailer less the trailer. the 1.5-2 seconds is a normal time lag for any transmission. you see, there is what we call accumulator in the automatic transaxle to dampen or delay the gear engagement. this is built in for reasons of stabilizing the pressures before shifting into gear. doncha worry, this is normal. check your idle speed too, it might be higer than normal.

July 9th, 2009 10:58 AM #8D3 at 80kph is okay but consumes more fuel because of high RPM, as long as you didnt shift it to d4, the tranny will eventually experience problems in the long run.
d3 is only applicable up to 40-50kph and anything beyond that will gradually damage the transmission.
