    i had experiencing difficulty on reversing my Honda esi '95 especially when the car is park for long time..10 hrs...hinde agad engage un reverese gear.
    is this normal s matik? need to revultion it for some time before ma engage un gear..

    insan hirap makina bumatak lalo n pg pinatakbo mo agad withopu any warm up..
    hope u can help me guys...

    as per experience, ganito, tatapatin na kita: anu makina ng civic mo? and hirap ang hatak ano?to the point na mag-ooverheat na ung makina..

    sad to say, eto pinakabest(kung ok ang fluid level mo, pero amoy sunog, nangangamoy na sunog) and cost efficient solution dyan...

    punta ka sa banawe/evangelista/blumentritt, ipababa mo buong tranny mo, bili ka ng surplus, ipakabit mo...bili ka din ng ATF of the same spec, pero wag ung below 150 pesos, di maganda un, pang a/t flushing lang mga un...at di tatagal...dapat from known imported brands: motul, mobil, castrol..basta imported..mga 4-8 liters yang laman nyan...

    wag ka na magpa-overhaul ng tranny, sayang lang pera mo, palitan mo nalang ng magandang surplus...

    to be sure ok pa ung tranny mabibili mo, dala ka ng dipstick,, amoyin mo ung langis sa loob...kung sunog din ang amoy, iwan mo, kung may-pagka-"sweet-and-sour" ang amoy, kahit di mapula ung langis, maganda na un.. pero kung kulay pula at "sweet-and-sour ang amoy, aba kunin mo na!

    tignan mo din ung sealant and bolt heads, dapat kahit isa walang sign na nabuksan na..

    dala ka ng trusted mong mekaniko...and remember, ang torque converter ay parating kasabay ng buong tranny kung ibabalik...and remember to ask ung nagkabit na bago lagyan ng fluid/ ikabit, i drain lahat ng ma-ddrain na fluid, kasama ung sa ATF sa torque converter, at ung mga nasa cooler(radiator and oil cooler->if any)...ipaalis mo din ung oil pan and filter ng tranny,ha...kung ok pa linisin mo nalang, otherwise palitan mo na din yan,ha?

    dito ko nabili tranny ko, at ok naman ung nakuha ko despite the rock bottom price....at kung sila nagkabit, they can give 1 month warranty...tawagan mo nalang din sila kung meron silang stock at magkano...

    Great points by alwayz_yummy... but singit ko lang something that namiss...

    Check the contron cable.

    There's a cable that links between the shifter and the tranny (kung san man yun papunta), pwedeng yun lang may sala.

    Usually kung control cable or shifter bushing ang worn, mas kumakapit pag pataas ang shift (1 to 2, 2 to D, D to N, N to R, R to P) kesa pag pababa (P-R-N-D-2-1)...

    In my case, may bushing lang na nagwear sa shifter mismo kaya may konting "play" yung shifter between gates... nothing to do with the tranny itself.

    orir engine dw un engine nun n esi...hinde me lng alam wat spec kind of engine un..pero hinde un vtec...
    last January ng palit me ng oring seal sa maindrive...pati un s filter...
    tumataas n din temp nya lalo n pag akyatan n...i have to check on the fluid quality..i hope n kulang lng ng atf un...mdyo dami ko n gastos dito s car...
    thank you s info nu mga sirs.....

    anybody has a owners manual ng Honda ESI 95...para my reference me...im very new when it comes to car....sana hinde kau magsasawa bigay ng tulong sa mga un needs...

    pero mukhang malabo ung mis-aligned cable for lever and the tranny...

    you say nagpalit ng oilseal sa main drive, baka mali ang salpak,so baka worst nasira torque converter mo...


    ang pag check ang atf di tulad ng makina na kailangan 1st thing in the morning, ang atf ay checked by ganito:

    start mo engine, shift ka P-R-N-D-2-1or L-2-D-N-R-P then bunutin mo dipstick, punasan mo, balik mo, tapos tsaka mo palang ma-aaccurately check ung atf level, amoyin mo na din...dapat sa gitna ng L and H level...kung may "cold" and "hot" dapat bumaba sa "cold H and L" then kung mainit na( idling for more than 5-10 minutes) dapat nasa "hot H and L" level...

    ang key is sunog ang amoy, at di mala-"sweet and sour".....

    Sir, may mga question lang ako:

    1.) Bakit amoy sunog
    2.) Ano nasusunog? Torque converter?
    3.) Ang shell ATF ba hindi imported? Locally manufactured?
    4.) Tuwing kelan ba dapat nagpapalit ng ATF?
    5.) Tuwing kelan ba dapat nagpapalit ng A/T Tranny (hehe, serious question 'to ha)?

    6.) Bakit wag na pa overhaul ng A/T tranny?

    Sorry ha dami question - ESi '94 btw. Baka yun lang din prob ko kasi hina hatak. Mga tinitignan ko kasing options: mini-me, b16 a/t, and Force ind. (supercharger daw para maliksi).

    I believe local, but shouldn't matter...

    According to manual... Usually every 25-30K, ako annually mura lang naman.[/quote]

    If taken care off, usually AT lasts longer than MT.
    6.) Bakit wag na pa overhaul ng A/T tranny?
    Super duper complex ang hydraulic system ng AT, sobrang tight ang tolerance ng mga gaps and channels sa housing, almost impossible maayos ng tama... Labor palang mahal na, kung sa kasa expect to pay 6 figure just for tranny overhaul... Bili ka nalang buong surplus diba.
