    Hi Guys,
I brought my car (Spacewagon 97 local) to a service shop for tranny overhaul after series of oil change and even filter replacement (2x) did nothing to solve the problem on my tranny. Here's what bogging my tranny:

    - sudden jerking (like shock and thug) while running at speed >100, then the speed biglang baba pero your rpm mataas.

Now, when I brought my car to the srevice shop sabi ng mechanic e, clutch and band problem daw, so pinalitan ng repair kit (PhP 18K kasama labor).
Please help!!!

70k for a new torque conv is a big joke he he. ng pina service mo ba trans mo band lang ang pinalitan, how about the clutches, plates , seals. etc? i'm not familiar with your tranny but i can tell you it's not likely a torque converter problem. if you want to check it yourself try this: with your left foot on the brake (press hard), set parking brake, put gear in drive (press the brake harder to prevent veh movement) then with your right foot press the accelerator hard and look at the engine rpm if if doesnt go beyond 1800 to 2200 rpm then the torque conv is still good. one more thing a failed (stuck) torque converter will stall the engine.

does your ride already have the tranny cable(kickdown cable)?

it's a another cable connected from the gas pedal cable. likely to be wrapped in orange rubber...
