accidentally starting car in first gear m/t

mga sirs, may masisira kaya sa m/t navara ko kung accicdentally ko na start car in 3rd gear, nag strong jerk yung car frontwards, please comment, thanks. i put it on 3rd gear for brake back up while in park.

Walang masisira siguraduhin mo lang naka neural next time mahirap kung may tao o sasakyan na malapit sa sasakyan mo.

likem entioned wala naman. pero basta lagi mo lang tatandaan na bago mo i-start ang engine. makesure na nasa neutral ang kambyo, and to be double sure if you forget the first one, always step on the cluth before starting.

only damage this could cause is if you are parked facing a wall, then this happens "bam!". i learned this the hard way when i was still new to driving. bent front bumper, grille, plate number and cracked head and fog lights.

transmissions are designed to accept "other forms of abuse" aside from the designed function of simply transmitting power.... it is much safer to engage in 1st gear (aside from the parking brakes) while parked especially on inclines.
