Step on the clutch when starting an M/T vehicle. It does not matter whether you're in neutral or in any gear position.
"Removes" the load from the starter.... In some vehicles,- a safety feature.....
Our project in college years ago,- car won't start unless you're in neutral...

siguradong newbie driver ka TS. kung alam mo ang jumpstart, hindi mo ito tatanungin. anyway, basics sa lahat ng basics ito ng driving, always check kung nasa neutral ang kambyo.

imo, even the most experienced driver (who has lots to share) still has a room for improvement left for themselves.
