    96.
    wrong pindot, the first time.
    heh heh.

puede ring 36, as what travs says.

it would depend on where you want to put the parentheses.
there is argument in the math circles, kasi, on where they should be placed.

Multiplication pala yung last sign! Senior moment na ako.

    20 + 4 x 4 =

    Following MDAS, 20 + 16 = 36.

I think most of you got it correct. Always remember My Dear Aunt Sally or PEMDAS if with parenthesis and exponent.

If MDAS is My Dear Aunt Sally, what is PEMDAS?

My wife sent this to me a couple of weeks ago and I got lazy to answer it "correctly" so I still don't know the answer.

Of course, I made an attempt to answer it and I got it wrong. With the hint our moderator gave us, it should be easy now.

Why give such questions to a genius? Ask them harder things like the rate of change in area of a function along a certain axis. Or maybe the amount of charge in the middle of a circular hole on the surface of a charged sphere.

MDAS is taught in elementary. It is one of the basic rules of arithmetic.

No regrets being an engineer. I can't imagine what you do. I had a mandatory training in first aid and later an advance one, we were required to use a syringe.

Every sweat glands on my body was working double time and we were just practicing on a piece of meat!

I remember when I was a kid, I couldn't stand watching my grandmother as she "prepares" the hen to become a chicken. What do you call that in English?

I studied engineering in my college days but I joined the IT industry right after graduation. I really wanted to enrol myself to a flying school but my family didn't have the money nor the means to pay for more than a million pesos to get me thru flying school.

My aunt offered to sponsor my schooling for med school but I refused. Medicine was not something I even thought about even when I was young. If I did get to be a doctor, I would have opted to dwell deeper on oncology. At least when dealing with cancer patients, every survivor is a miracle. The rest would be dead anyway. Hehehehe

Joke Time!
