Hello tsikot peeps! Wala lang...just wanted to say hello! Parang di nga ako naka-alis kasi kahit nandito, tsikot pa din. Hehehe... Been here since October 8 to visit my cousin and relatives here. Temperature here is 15-17degreesC. Punta ako Memphis this Oct. 15 then balik na pinas on Oct. 21. Anyway, just wanted to share some things that I experienced here...

2 days pa lang ako dito when I got to experience how it is to be rear-ended. I was with my cousin in his '03 civic. We just made a stop at an intersection and were waiting for the left turn signal when a Civic failed to stop in time and rammed us from behind...

Funny thing, Civic din same model naka bangga sa amin pero green lang ang color. Chinese immigrant ang driver...

Anyway, the guy was apologetic. He and my cousin exchanged insurance information. Defintely it was his fault kasi he rammed us from behind. Wala pa nga siguro 2 minutes when look who drops by...

EMS vehicle na naka-expedition! Grabe. Bilis ng response time nila. Akala nila siguro someone got injured. And to think na di pa kami tumawag ng 911. They must have cameras siguro on the road na na-monitor nila ang accident. Sabay-sabay sila dumating ng tow truck. Good thing driveable pa ang both vehicles namin otherwise automatic $150 na for the towing of each vehicle involved. Anyway, to make the story short, we had to detach my cousin's bumper right there and then kasi baka ma tanggal ng hangin kapag mabilis ang takbo. Monday was thanksgiving day so it was only last Tuesday na pumunta kami sa police station together with the other driver to document the incident. Tapos pumunta kami sa Honda to have it assessed coz it will be the the insurance of the other driver who will pay for the damages. Praning mga tao dito if ever they get into an accident coz automatic tataas ang monthly payments mo. Since it wasn't our fault, hindi tataas ang insurance ng cousin ko. Honda then referred us to a body shop specializing in collision repairs. Pina-estimate namin and it will cost the insurance $6500 for my cousin's civic repairs because may frame damage and buckled ang rear right pillar. Mas mahal sa civic ng other driver coz it will cost him minimum of $8500. Guess how much ang charge ng labor dito sa repair shop... $50/hour!!! Anyway, we had to leave the car already sa shop coz we were advised that the police might ticket us if we continue on using the vehicle. Since my cousin's insurance coverage had rental car inclusive, we were issued one for use while his car was in the repair shop. This is what they gave us...

Pontiac Sunfire. Ok naman. Drove it for about a day then jokingly told my cousin na mag-reklamo siya sa rentacar na he wasn't comfortable driving it. So this was what they gave us for no extra charge...

GMC Tahoe!!! At no extra charge. Sa wakas maka-drive din ako ng American car. Hahaha. Grabe na upgrade noh? From Civic to Tahoe. So off we went today to Niagara Falls today. Sarap mag drive dito. Niagara is about 150km from Toronto. Average speed dito sa expressway is 130kph...

I've been to Niagara Falls before pero this is the first time I was able to ride the "Maid of the Mist" boat that literally takes you right beside the falls. Marami din Casino. Most Americans usually cross the boarder from Buffallo to play kasi mas mura dito. Anyway, thats all for now. I'll try to post more pics. By the way, tulo-laway ako dito sa mga trucks at kotse. Haaay...

P.S. Of course, this trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to...

    Take care everyone!

I just love Toronto. Almost all of my relatives are in Ontario already. Two families na lang kami dito sa Pinas.

The people are so nice, too.
