    Traffic re-routing for U.S. leader’s visit

In Manila, the public utility vehicles (PUVs) headed to the pier area from Paco, Sta. Ana, Pandacan and Pasayare will be asked to take Taft Avenue through the Jones flyover, to make a right turn at Magallanes Drive, then a U-turn in front of the Post Office, then cross Magallanes and cut heading to Anda Circle.

Those vehicles coming from Anda Circle should take Soriano St., head straight to Magallanes Drive, cut through Anda Circle and then straight to Taft Avenue.

Those coming from Quezon City must make a right turn at Riverside Road, then make a left turn at Postal Road, then a right turn and then cross Magallanes drive. After that, cut towards Anda Circle and then head towards Taft Avenue.

Heading back, take Anda, then Soriano Street, then make a right turn to Gen. Luna, then make a left turn at P. Burgos Street.

For private vehicles heading to the pier area, coming from both north and south parts of Pasig River must take Magallanes Drive to Anda.

The buses from Osmeña Highway are advised to turn right at Quirino to make a left turn at Plaza Dilao, then take U.N. Avenue, then make a right turn at Romualdez to take traverse Concepcion and Burgos Streets onwards to their destinations.

The buses from Taft Avenue and Coastal Road should turn right at Quirino, to make a left turn on Angel Linao St. and then take Gen. Luna St., to ply Romualdez St. and Concepcion St. The buses coming from Quiapo must take Taft Avenue.

For those who are curious what will happen to Commonwealth avenue tomorrow, the long stretch of road will be partially closed to traffic when US President Bush gives his speech to a joint session of Congress in Batasan. This will involve the whole duration of his approach, speech, and departure. But then again, this is not sure since the US secret service are keeping everyone guessing

Sabi sa news 95% Air Force 1 will land in NAIA. All roads leading to the airport will be closed to all traffic. Except for airport bound vehicles, passengers must show ID, passport and tickets at the check point. Give allowance of 3-4 hours prior departure. There were 4 international flights affected, a couple of flights from Cathay Pacific.

    nakakarindi!!!

sHoCkAbSoRbEr::: Your route will not be affected that much, though Nagtahan area maybe clogged due to some trucks and other vehicles that will ply the same flyover.

Barricades have been setup against the Malacanang perimeters only, that's Mendiola and J.P. Laurel streets to protect them from rallys.

I'm pretty sure all security alerts will lax after Bush leaves at around midnight. So operations may return back to normal the next following day.

As of this moment, ok pa naman ang flow ng traffic here at the Ortigas Center. Mejo congested lang ang mga driveways ng Mall due to volume of incoming vehicles and also tightened ang Security inspection on all vehicles.

I was thinking if something did happened to the convoy, it might look like Black Hawk Down or In the Line of Fire.
