Taguig boys failed today. 30 mins sa C5 going up to SM Aqua. 15 mins sa kanto ng Sun Life. Pagdating sa McKinley parang Holy Saturday all the way to Ayala.

Uncle Sam in BGC
The creation of a government financial cluster in Bonifacio Global City— envisioned to host the likes of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Department of Finance—isn’t likely to happen anytime soon.
It turned out that the US government has a claim on the 10-hectare land as part of the post-World War II Manila American cemetery. From what we gathered, the US government appeared uninterested in exercising ownership on this lot in previous decades and the lot has since been invaded by informal settlers now reaching about a thousand families. The US started reasserting its claim in the 1990s as the former Fort Bonifacio military camp—now rebranded as BGC—started urbanizing.
There are indications that the US government is willing to sell back the lot to the government for $10 million but the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) is worried that taking over the property will be difficult to execute. Not only will it have to pay for the land but the clearing of informal settlers is seen costing a lot.
Subject to approval of Malacañang, the BCDA’s proposal is for the Philippine government to formally request the US to drop its claim on this parcel of land. Certain sweeteners may be added—such as the expansion of the International School and the establishment of a Fil-Am friendship-themed Freedom Park. The SEC, BIR and other government agencies can then acquire the land on which to build their future office towers.
So this is probably why the SEC, which is in urgent need of a new home because its current building in Ortigas is an earthquake trap, isn’t counting on settling in BGC in the next five years. Doris C. Dumlao

I'll relocate to BGC, just in case the US changes its mind .... dual citizenship. US Federal property pala BGC ..![]()
add to this the upcoming sale of S&R will start tomorrow Sept. 25 to Sept. 29 yata..
Open na pala yung shortcut to C5 SB from McKinley sa tabi ng Aura. Exit neto is the squatter area beside Petron. Good thing dahil under construction pa din Bayani Road.
And yung plano yata sa intersection with existing Mckinley Hill ay rotunda/roundabout, I doubt na magiging effective yun ganung design.
Doable pero may onting realignment kelangan para may big enough rotonda that can handle the volume. I don't think pwede galawin ni isang pulgada ng lupa ng American cemetery (unless gusto mo ng incoming nuke after the US starts up again).
Agree, dapat nga talagang i-widen ng husto ang Lawton all the way to the Nichols area (i'm talking at least 8 lanes here) while there is still ample space. If this connects to the Skyway or SLEX, the constant traffic between Makati via Kalayaan - Buendia and McKinley Road can be better managed.
^
8 lanes, tapos when the time comes almost half of that will be filled with jeepneys, buses, tricycles, cold drink vendors, newspaper boys, takatak guys, sampaguita children, solvent sniffers, the deaf, dumb, blind syndicates, and what-have-you.
Wala rin ..........![]()
I think I read somewhere that they intend to put up a monorail passing through Lawton Avenue (Guadalupe going to NAIA3 via BGC and Lawton Avenue, yata). If this ever happens in our lifetime, buses and jeepneys don't have to ply that route.
On a separate note, traffic going into BGC 32nd every morning spills over to C5, sometimes taking 2/3 lanes of the southbound lane. Or tunnel all the way to the start of Kalayaan flyover.
