Kung babalikan natin yung renders ng SMC, they are planning to place 3 T/Ps there, pero I think highly likely magbago pa ito, baka at most 2 nalang since gagawin narin naman purely ETC [Autosweep] Skyway et al diba:

Speaking of S2E NB, mukang this April na to...irerepurpose kaya muna nila ynug 2-3 toll booths sa Main Sucat T/P para makakolekta ng toll pending construction ng S2E T/Ps? Abangan...

    Pinoy Joyride

Skyway extension as of yesterday afternoon.
There are new signs placed along slex informing motorists to keep right when using skyway extension as it is for rfid users and class 1. There are lane markings painted and based on the picture you can see how many lanes. Mukhang malapit na buksan.

SMC's favorite solid line lane markings in place - 3 NB diet lanes

Per the SPW, S2E NB is scheduled to be soft-opened today [any time now]. This needs to be massively disseminated in trad / soc med para hindi magkalituhan bukas [quarantine status notwithstanding].

Sneak peek first person drive-through video here

Lodi RSA with the SPW on their final inspection earlier:

    talagah!
    masubukan nga.

    i suppose,
instead of queueing at the leftmost lane, we now queue at the rightmost lane...?

Libre ba? Is this funded by government, who’s taking credit?

    ^^ Possible ganito ang set-up:

Closed muna temporarily ang Skyway South Station NB on-ramp - C1 vehicles coming from LP / Ayala Alabang going NB can take Filinvest on ramp tapos keep left for steel ramp [ingat nalang sa pag merge lanes para iwas disgrasya].

3 lanes yung Hillsborough to Alabang viaduct / steel ramp diba, so based kay SMC [this is facing South]:

    • leftmost lane: vehicles as stated above going NB using 1 lane steel ramp
    • median lane: SB vehicles bound for SLEx using 1 lane steel ramp
    • rightmost lane: SB vehicles bound for Alabang [existing South Station area]

    ---

Parang ang layo na kasi mashado kung via MCx ang u-turn...pero para seamless traffic na nga kahit hassle at mapapalayo dagdag toll / gas expenses pa, ito pinakabest gawin :D :D :D

Hmm, 2-lane steel ramp will be for SB traffic only per TGP

    So...mali ang aking hunch

Skyway Alabang steel ramp will be exclusive to southbound motorists starting April 19

Reasonable, IMHO with the closure of the Hillsbor ramp & the opening of the NB ramp. That HB ramp is a bottleneck.

Years ago, I got stuck in flooded Vito Cruz & spent 12 hours on the road. The next year, because of floods in the SLEX, at that Motorola area where floods can submerge a sedan, traffic was backed up all the way to GMA in Cavite & no matter what route I took, traffic was horrible. I spent 10 hours on the road that time. Since then, I always bring along a small bag with clothes & essentials for an overnighter in a hotel or, if that is not possible, I would rather park in a gas station & just sleep in the car.

    my fear is,
i might run out of fuel!
madalas pa naman ako makipag-sapalaran sa fuel gauge, because i insist on re-fueling from only a few stations.
    heh heh.

    i did lose, once.
we had forgotten that we had moved the VW beetle's fiuel tank that morning, and did not calibrate it when we put it back on...

is the backhoe the proposed solution,
or is it just another victim of the baja?
