Sana maipatupad to sa lalong medaling panahon at applicable sana sa lahat ng barangay roads at kung pwede pati mga subdivision roads na rin.

"Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago has Senate Bill 2726 or the Act to Regulate the Construction and Maintenance of Speed Bumps addresses the problem caused by "substandard speed bumps in our streets that leads to unnecessary traffic jams, vehicular damage, and obstruction to utilities and other important facilities."

Under the bill, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be tasked to come up the National Speed Bump Manual that ensures all speed bumps around the country follow a singular standard.

The manual will provide rules pertaining to the construction of speed bumps in relation to road grade or slope, proximity to curve, street condition, curbs, diversion potential, loading and unloading zones, spacing between bumps, proximity to utilities and travel lanes.

City or Municipal Engineers will be required to inspect speeds bumps at least once every three years and ensure that they are recorded in the city/municipal registry while the DPWH is tasked to update the national registry.

Speed bumps not recorded in the registry will be considered illegal and will be removed within six months from the date of the last inspection.

Once the bill is signed into law, City/Municipal Engineers must inspect their respective areas within one year and record/evaluate the existing speed bumps to determine if these are necessary in the areas they are located and if it complies with the standard.

During the inspection, temporary speed bumps made of tires and the like shall also be removed.

Construction of an illegal or makeshift speed bump warrants a fine of Php 50,000 plus the cost of the removal of the speed bump."

Sa area natin sa Pasig, mother (may she rest in peace) ko binilang niya yung bumps from Ortigas ext to my house, 17 ang bilang. Sabi niya dati next time punta siya kahit nakapikit alam na niya nasa bahay na siya dahil sa bilang niya.

Lots of side streets in Caloocan all have multiple speed bumps half the size of Meralco power posts. I've even seen one made out of a beam of wood. What's worse is that almost all of them have a certain small slit open for motorcycles or somewhat larger ones for tricycles, which entirely negates the point of speed bumps. Makes me think that these were just made illegally by certain private individuals who want to force other motorists to slow down in front of their gates in order to let them out first or oblivious barangay people who think they know better.

Exactly. Sa subdivision namin, may speed humps na nga, may mga naaksidente pa rin and sumasalpok sa mga lamp post due to speed (or nakakatulog while driving home early in the morning).

Ang intensyon lang talaga nila is maprotektahan yung tubo nila ng tubig na tumatawid sa kalsada from one side to the other side (tapatan po ang mga properties nila). I gave direction to fellow employees who are driving to the place of another fellow employee (we have a party) in Pilar Village, LPC....

My landmarks are the number of humps that he'll drive over on the streets... :hysterical:

yeah, same here.... i pass the FS routes going to ATC.
crappy FC, yes.... i think i average around 6 kpl going thru the route, but it is moving if you pass via the alabang-zapote road...
ang masakit lang, mabilis talaga masira ang ilalim. kaya talagang hinay hinay lang.
the BF Paranaque route is also ok sana (via concha cruz), kaya lang may ginagawa ang DPWH dun ang ang lupet ng trapik.

nabiktima ako nyan frist time kong dumaan ng Daang Hari, yun jeep na sinusundan ko biglang nag menor akala ko magbaba ng pasahero, pag overtake bang!!! speed hump pala

I remember going to this subdivision in Cavite. The humps were terrible. Parang cylindrical na yung shape hehe.

In Bay, Laguna we have a hump where both front and rear wheels of our swift are on the hump at the same time. Dito grabe sayad ng vios namin kung di ako mag sisyete pag higit 1 ang pasahero ko.
