    Any published IRR yet?

I hope they focus on the max sound levels and not just put a blanket ban on aftermarket exhausts.

that should mean, they will have to acquire special instruments and adopt inspection menu to measure sound level...

    or,
    milking cow syndrome.
    highs.

    what else can be simpler?

If you want to nip the noise problem in the bud and still be fair to everyone with aftermarket/non-OEM exhaust parts.

Pero in the grand scheme of things, sana nationwide nalang.

    well,
i hope enforcement is not going to parallel that for blinding foglights and bumper lights, LED headlights and light bars.

i do not hope so and i do not think so.
after all, it adds nor subtracts nothing from the function of the oem stock exhaust system.
    borloloy lang.

You know why theres anarchy on the streets of Manila?

Those MTPBs manning the streets dont even know how to drive!

They’re barangay tanods who got nominated by their barangay to become traffic enforcers. Cityhall initiative parang patronizing the chairmans.

    Its all politics.

a colleague was once accosted near manila city hall, for "beating the yellow light".

i myself, was also accosted for beating the yellow light (not in manila).
i reasoned, "i could have stepped on the break, but that would leave me in the middle of the intersection. is that what we want, mr. officer?"
truly, the yellow light is one big grey zone, fraught with personal judgement.
and the shorter the yellow light period, the greyer the judgement.

in one provincial highway, car speeds are 'higher than usual', the intersection is so wide, and the yellow light segment is so short.
for a time, it was, in my opinion, a watering hole for traffic enforcers.

Manila’s MTPB are the worst na nga, worst than Pasay’s.

Yeah sure there are some underbones whose exhaust are really obnoxious, but once you give power to those corrupt MTPB, with the mayor’s backing, kahit yun P300k na Akra mahuhuli yun.

Modified? Without stating any allowable decibel reading, offense na kaagad?

Hate to say this, pero election na talaga.

I think not...

    i don't know about you,
but i personally feel the car lane widths in our streets, i.e., taft avenue in manila, are simply too narrow.
with a wigo, puede. but with a fortuner, medyo mahirap i-pasok nang tama.

I pity those Subarus & 86s owners with P200k titanium exhaust systems, if they do live in Manila.

The problem with newly enacted laws like these, interpretation differs among enforcers. The overzealousness of some cause more than an inconverience to many.

    Nicest? Errr.

But yes if Manila address ka madali makiusap. Never ako nag alok mag bribe if flagged ako.

But again hindi nila alam ano ang trabaho nila.

    Alam lang niyan:

    Coding

    Running a yellow light

    Crossing solid lanes

LAHAT AY APPLICABLE LANG SA PRIVATE VEHICLES.

stealth mode mga jeepneys, trikes, kuliglig etc.

Nicest in the sense na, if they know you're from manila, mag warning lang sila.

Again I agree to you on that.

Minsan approaching intersection ako, pakanan ako so nasa tamang lane ako outermost.

So umiwas ako. Switched lanes para maka kanan.

    Ayun pag kanan huli ako.

I asked the MTPB bakit hindi hinuli yung jeep, nag terminal sa bungad at padiretso pa siya hinarangan ang likuan.

At fault din naman talaga ako, gave my license titiketan na then binalik sa akin at Manila address daw ako.
