    Parang bitin...

'No Garage, No Car Act' now one step closer to becoming a law | Autodeal

The only topic not covered by Senate Bill No. 1165, or at least to our knowledge, is what happens to already-registered vehicles. As we see it, the bill doesn't require existing owners to present proof of their permanent parking space or facility when renewing their registration; or at least not yet.

the more traffic, the more the govt earns via taxes, taxes on fuel that was easily emptied on traffic, taxes on Preventive maintenance and parts as vehicles gets worn out quickly as normal, best part of it is its multiplied by 2 and so on as owners get their hands on their aka coding vehicle...

so if the govt earns more on this traffic, why do you think they want to solve it? eh may motorcycle wang wang escort naman ang govt vehicles to make their way thru heavy traffic

Just this morning: MMDA and HPG conducted clearing operations along Coronado street in Julo, Mandaluyong.

Kaya pala traffic palabas ng Tivoli.

    Dami na confiscate, pati sinampay.

    Mahirap i foolproof kasi ito.

Anyone can declare a garage, may mag police ba sa kanya? Spot checks?

Kaya yan.

Mahirap nga implement yan, lalo na pag wala fool proof documentation or something. Mas kailangan dito satin ang enforcement. Pag makakalusot ang pinoy, sige lang

    We have to start somewhere...

And a law should be a firm foundation...

Let's just hope that we have executive leaders who have the political will to implement the law.

Tama ba??? Nalilito na rin ako e....

I don't think so. Most cars sold in the country are imported, not manufactured locally.

there are many arguments re. requiring parking space for prospective new car buyers. but as there seem to be no such requirement guidelines for buyers of used vehicles, i can see loopholes already.

but there is no argument against towing away illegally parked vehicles.
let us just tow away illegally parked vehicles. fines shall be on a graduated, increasing basis, depending on the frequency of towing.
we can also decide, on when the confiscation becomes permanent.

let us not penalize poverty nor rich-ness.
let us penalize the act (of illegal parking).
