NLEX, SCTEX, Over-Speeding, Speed-Radar [MERGED Threads]

Nah, no gunnits for me today. I had several people on board and I really wasn't sure about the radar guys. Buong SCTEX naka-4th gear lang ako, ni hindi ako umabot 5k rpm. Cruised at 160-180 (4.2k rpm) then may occasional 190 pag kita ko yung malayo.

On Dec 30 2012, I passed through SCTEX and NLEX on the way to Manila. SCTEX was clear of any radars/lasers from Tarlac entry to NLEX exit.

Curiously, along NLEX, starting at the elevated "bridge" all the way to Bulacan I was detecting one or two sources of K-Band emissions at low to medium strengths. At the elevated "bridge", I assumed the radar emissions came from the solar powered surveillance towers equipped with high quality cameras. But after that, I could not spot the potential sources of radar emissions, assuming the radar emissions are coming from fixed locations.

Not useful on NLEX/SCTEX since they don't use laser speed guns. ;)

Handy when passing through Macapagal or Commonwealth (or SLEX).

When I passed through NLEX/SCTEX (on my way to Manila), it was already passed noon time.

But during our drive to Baguio, I didn't bother setting up my detector because it was still too dark.
