while i think this is a good idea, i'm not sure how they'll impose this. 13.5 tons per axle daw di ba? what are they gonna do, stop every truck and put them through some gigantic scale?
they have portable weighing scales that they put under each wheel of the truck. if they suspect that the truck is overloaded, they'll gonna weigh your truck.
may mga sensors yan. according to my cousin who's working for NLEX. kadalasan yan, yun yung mga parang speedbump before a structure sa may shoulder. may mga cameras din. kaya walang kawala.
Dati may weighing station before SLEX entrance in Calamba near Turbina... Di na yata gumagana. Baka meron din sa new NLEX. But I guess with the new technology, that portable scale is their best bet.
uy, ayos nga kung ganyan. yan daw kasi ang pinoprotesta kunoa ng mga truck drivers na humarang ng NLEX not long ago. 13.5 tons per axle is actually very liberal na compared to other countries
