^super confused with the RFID penalties...

my Easytrip and Autosweep RFIDs only work 25% of the time... mostly, scan ako ng card.

if I pass by a booth and my RFID was not read, penalty na agad? or will they scan my license plate, cross check it with my account and automatically make the deduction?

o do we still have to wait for a toll booth lady to scan our card (Autosweep)

Lalabas nyan "no valid rfid" device
Or "dilapidated" kasi hindi na binbasa.
    Kaya technically may fine

This has been my beef: ayusin muna ng mga toll way operators yung sistema nila bago nito.

They impose the installation of new RFID stickers when there is nothing wrong with the old ones. The tollway operators here should make the adjustment and not inconvenience the customers

Because of this RFID load system, tiba tiba sa floating cash at interest earnings itong mag toll way operators tapos kapal pa ng mukha to ask for an increase in toll rates

Dyan naman ako nabwibwisit. Imposibleng di nila alam na kulang load or walang load dahil pagpasok mo slex may check load balance na. Dapat magload midway sa gas stations or thru app whatever.

sa slex, many times, when i enter the tollgate, there's no reading of how much bala i still have.
kung minsan, napaka-bagal magbigay nang read-out! just last nite, ang nabasa ko ay 85 pesos na lang, when i know for a fact that i still had almost 4000 bucks! yun pala, i figger later, i was reading the car's that just left ahead of me.

"so why don't i memorize the amount i still have, when i leave the gate?" that's easy to say, but difficult to do, as we are too busy avoiding bumping into the other cars...

    the other night naman,
the toll queue at skyway was extremely long. yun pala, so many cards were being mis-read by the scanners, the toll operators were jumping from gate to gate, doing manual operation.

so, no! i do not think our current systems are ready to get rid of humen operators.

ako palaging may minimum 1K sa RFID... minimum yun

so kahit anong vehicle namin ang dumaan, sure na may load yun.

pero as I mentioned earlier, 25% of the time lang gumagana RFID ko (Easytrip or Autosweep) - yung Easytrip nga, kakakabit lang 2 days ago, ni minsan di pa din gumagana.

so by September, damaged/dilapilated mga RFID ko? may multa na agad?

Saan ba nakalagay mga RFID mo?

I am starting to think that this is probably more of a you-problem.... or more specifically, your car. It is unusual na 3 out of 4 times di gumagana sayo... on either ET and AS. I'm thinking there's probably something in your vehicle that is interfering with the system.

Yung sa akin, one RFID sticker for both platforms, gumagana with almost perfect batting average.

Poked a hole in my windshield tint and requested for a replacement Autosweep RFID. They sent me a notification earlier that I've been using my card too much. My Easytrip is installed on the headlight beside the school/village RFID.

Went up to Baguio over the weekend. Autosweep failed only once on Skyway Stage 3 NB. No problems on both in succeeding booths.

On the topic of using just one RFID sticker for both EasyTrip and AutoSweep systems, I just got off the phone with an EasyTrip agent and they confirmed that I can continue to use my AutoSweep RFID tag in their system, indefinitely.

I registered this AutoSweep tag on EasyTrip's system earlier this year.

So, is EasyTrip no longer allowing this registration? It's funny because they still have it up in their FAQ.

New fines for lack of tollway RFID and insufficient load deferred to October 1, 2024 | TopGear PH

“We hope the concerned agencies and tollway operators would use the 30-day deferment to fine-tune expressway operations and further intensify the public information campaign to enable tollway users to comply with the new guidelines,” Bautista said.

Did a quick overnight food trip to Pampanga over the weekend.

Autosweep - Stage 3 - passed by 1 scanner only - it worked!
Easytrip - worked 2 times only (Balintawak northbound and Bocaue southbound)

Both RFIDs were installed on our headlight, Autosweep is a month old, Easytrip is less than a week old.

Big plus for Easytrip that they have card scanners that you can use if they cannot read your RFID - just find it annoying that even the card scanner at Mexico was not working last Saturday.

IMO, Autosweep should also intall QR Code readers as a second option for motorists if their RFID readers fail... that way, we don't need to wait for their staff to manually scan our cards.

RFIDs on my daily are over 3 years old (installed during pandemic) and I've only ever had to bring out the card to get scanned once.

Autosweep installed on the windshield (3M color-stable tint), Easytrip on passenger headlight.

I prefer to have it inside on the windshield so the sticker is not out in the elements. Bonus points for not messing up the looks of the headlight.

if you really want to minimize queueing at the toll booths,
make each toll booth cash-capable and card-capable.

Agree. But it will be more expensive for the toll operator to implement.
