It was a Stradcom project and all money will be going to Stradcom, of course with LTO and FG's will have their fair share

next month, you can have the ID (actually it's a sticker that you have to place in your windshield) for free, but it will be replaced when you register your car next year.

If it has information you can already visually see from a car, it wouldn't matter if someone scans it. Nakikita naman license plate, car model and make, color and registration.

Mas relevant kung this is used on public transports, emergency vehicles, government owned vehicles and military vehicles.

And as long as none of it is valid for evidence (as in someone can remove it and place it on another vehicle for malicious intent) then it should not be an issue. Kung traffic monitoring lang ang purpose, pwede na.

Actually di mo na need ito para makita at mahuli mga luxury cars with government plates being used on a sunday or holiday. Punta ka lang sa Alabang Town Center on sundays madami duon red plate.

I still fail to see the need for the RFID tags when it would so easy to tamper.

Galing mo sir! Unang pumasok sa isip ko nung nabasa ko 'to... With such a ridiculous, expensive-to-implement project like this, FG can't be far behind. Sometimes I think FG makes Imelda look like a saint.

This RFID tag is nothing but corruption in disguise.

I'm for it but only for PUVs. This way, there is no chance in hell that these PUV operators can get away with recklessness on the road.

We don't need RFID tags to identify PUVs like jeepneys and buses. There is enough man power already deployed. What we need is better implementation of the traffic rules and regulations already in place.

Prime example is the traffic cops who are hell bent to catch private vehicle but ignores the PUVs doing the same violations.

yan na naman... kailangan bang may exception ang mga government vehicles, eh sila ang madalas na may makitang kalokohan.

malapit na ang election kaya minamadaling i-implement para may budget ang administrasyon.

True, but it sure makes identifying which ones are colorum easier. As for better implementation of traffic rules, I'd say the imposition of sanctions for violation of these rules should be a really heavy fine for both driver and operator, or in the alternative, something more draconian which is what they call in Singapore as caning.

Anyone tried playing with those RFID tags used in store security? ... I was wondering a simple Faraday cage would be enough to block signals in and out of the RFID tags.

LTO to implement RFID tags
