My car plates were stolen recently... I need suggestions on how to secure car plates so that at least thieves will find it hard to steal them.

    Thanks in advance.

Try putting those plastic plate covers like [brand name] "Deflector". Putting it on does not mean it will be fool-proof, however it will only serve to delay the thieves. So more importantly, try parking in brightly lighted and high visibility/foot traffic areas.

This will prevent anyone from unscrewing the Deflector without first removing the glue from the screw head.

It's also not foolproof, but if it costs the crooks more time than they're willing to spend out in the open, they may just decide to choose an easier target.

DEFLECTOR is a good first defense. Mabusisi kasi unless basagin nila yung lens.

Then use a fine allen head or hex head bolt for the plate.

I previously used this screw by accident. hindi ko alam na hindi na pala matatanggal ang screw na ito ng regular philip screwdriver. if you try to turn the screwdriver counter-clockwise, the screw driver will just slide out. Safe ang license plate mo dito.

i used Stainless Steel Allen Head Screws. Around P20+ each set (screw, 2 washers and nut) from Screw-It P. Tuazon Cubao.
